This flying object is built by an Australian company called Cyber Technology and is capable of vertical take off and landing. The Cyber Quad as it’s called has four ducted fans to provide lift to fly it around as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. As well as being able to fly around it does have a real use in that a HD camera is attached that can beam back live video from locations it is scouting out.
One recent example was when it was used on an oil platform where the Cyber Quad was flown in to capture video of what was happening and any damage that had been caused. It is capable of flying for about 40 minutes on a single charge, but as it’s easy to manoeuvre it can easily be perched on a pad so that the camera can be moved around while the Quad isn’t flying to save battery life. Transcend have launched a new range of SDHC memory cards that fall in to the Class 10 category that allows data to be transferred up to 20MB/s compared to older Class 6 cards that can transfer data at up to 6MB/s.
LG have created a new robot vacuum cleaner called the LG RoboKing. The RoboKing is smaller than the previous model measuring just 90mm tall where as before the previous version was 130mm tall. This allows the vacuum to manoeuvre more easily under objects such as book cases and furniture.

If you own a first or second generation Apple iPhone, your phone will now be capable of recording video without any hacking. Up until now the only way to get video recording on an iPhone or an iPhone 3G was to jailbreak the phone and install software that wasn’t approved by Apple. Thanks to Apple releasing details on the API regarding video capture, official applications can now be made that are compatible with the older phones.
Expansys in the UK are now selling the Motorola MILESTONE (aka, DROID in the US). According to SlashGear, eXpansys currently have an exclusive agreement in place that gives them full rights to selling the phone. You can choose to have the phone unlocked where it will set you back £449.99, or chose to buy a subsidized model which will lower the price, but lock you in to a contract for a certain amount of time.
