The ZipShot is a fold up tripod that can collapse to just 15 inches. To get that small it uses tent style poles that push together to build up the tripod and pull apart to fold up and collapse the tripod for storage. When opened up the tripod stands 44 inches tall and takes just seconds to open up.

LG have introduced a new LG BL40 Chocolate phone called the Christmas Edition. The phone will be launched in South Korea on December 10. The picture above shows the phone has a unique design for the back cover. The design on the cover of the phone is not the only difference though.
From what we understand, the phone will get a better camera with an 8 megapixel sensor and autofocus vs the regular BL40 that has just a 5 megapixel sensor. [Read more…]
According to SuperETrader, the Motorola MILESTONE (known as the DROID in the US) will be arriving on UK networks on December 7th.
Off network the phone will cost £439.99 including tax although if you wait to get it on contract that will probably reduced to next to zero.
The Motorola MILESTONE was a surprise when first mentioned in the US due to it running Android 2.0. The DROID was the first device to run this version of the operating system. The phone it’s self will have a 3.7 inch screen that is multitouch (capacitive) along with a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Nokia have announced a couple of phones this morning. The first was the Nokia 6700 slide, and now we have the Nokia 7230.
The phone is a slight step down from the 6700 slider and runs the series 40 software and although it has a slightly larger 2.4 inch screen. The camera is capable of capturing images at 3.2 megapixels.
The phone allows you to easily share pictures on Ovi, Flickr and Facebook with 3G being used to transfer your images direct to those web apps.
Nokia have announced the Nokia 6700 slide phone. The phone is a 3G slider phone that design wise, comes in a number of colours which includes pink, red, petrol blue, aluminium, lime and purple. The phone is also slimline.
The 6700 slide has a 5 megapixel camera that has Carl Zeiss optics which we expect will be as good as any other camera phone. An editing package is also included in the phone allowing photos to be modified as needed while on the move. The HTC HD2 was recently launched on to the Vodafone network in the UK costing nothing on a £35/month plan and above. O2 have now started selling the HD2 and offering it for free, but for £45 on their network. The contract might be £10/month more expensive, but the more expensive contract only ties you down to 18 months rather than the 24 months of the Vodafone contract.
The phone it’s self has a very large 4.3 inch touchscreen and the HD2 runs the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system that runs HTC’s own custom Sense UI which actually makes WM6.5 quite good from what reports say. [Read more…]
Yesterday, Google [GOOG] introduced a new operating system called Google Chrome OS. We have heard a few things about it over the last few months, but now it has been officially displayed. The idea behind Chrome OS is that most users switch on their computer and want to go online to get email, check Facebook, browse websites, search for jobs, go shopping and perhaps play games while chatting to friends and listening to music etc… with other programs not getting as much use, if any at all. Perhaps the web browser is the most important and most used program on a computer in Google’s words.
When a computer boots up if often takes a while from hitting the power button to loading up a web browser. For this reason Google decided to get rid of all the things that slow it down and make the browser the operating system. After hitting the power button you can be online within seconds. [Read more…]

ASUS have announced the ASUS UL30VT laptop that has been described as being ultra thin. The laptop measures just 1 inch thin and weighs 1.5KG. The UL30VT is covered in aluminium that has been given a brushed finish.
The laptop is powered by a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with the option of a cheaper 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor. Memory wise, it can handle up to 4GB of RAM. Also included is a 500GB hard drive. [Read more…]
The TomTom iPhone application should be getting updated soon, assuming Apple [AAPL] approve it. Included in the update are a number of features which should have been included at launch such as advanced lane guidance and text to speech.
