FPS have launched a new Pico Projector called the FPS Pearl M3. The pico projector is a small unit that has VGA image quality that is capable of projecting a 16:9 wide screen. The lamp has a 30,000 life expectancy and the projector can play back a number of common formats including AVI, various MPEG’s, WMV etc…
Pico projectors are small enough to be carried in your pocket and measure just a tad larger than your average mobile phone. The M3 is pretty much the same as any other pico projector on the market which I guess just gives you another option of what to buy. [click to continue…]

Sony have released the PSP 6.00 firmware update and it is available now for download. The new firmware 6.00 can be downloaded the usual way by accessing the Network Update icon on the XMB.
New features on the PSP firmware update include the ability to group games in to folders based on their expire date. To be honest there isn’t too much excited so instead, you can just read over the list below. [click to continue…]

We first mentioned the Aino back in May this year and also mentioned a Q4 2009 release date at that time. After a few months of not hearing much at all about the phone we now hear from dialaphone that the Sony Ericsson Aino is still due to launch within the next few months. Information is still a little vague at the moment, but its good to see more information about the phone being revealed along with another picture.
The Sony Aino is a phone that combines 2 of Sony’s strengths in to 1 device. That is an 8 megapixel cybershot camera along with the walkman. The camera side of the device see’s it have a fairly large sensor along with autofocus, an LED flash, geotagging, touch focus and face detection to name a few things. [click to continue…]

Sony have announced that the PSP-3000 system will be made available in a special Gran Turismo pack. Gran Turismo PSP is launching on October 1st after what seems like a several year delay. It’s actually great to see it being released. The special pack will be launched on the 20th October and will include the game on UMD as well as a silver PSP-3000, a downloadable voucher so you can get a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (for the game that is), 2GB memory Stick DUO and a movie/music pass allowing you to download 10 songs from the PlayStation network store.
It’s going to be a big game and well worth looking out for when it launches next month. [click to continue…]

The Sony PSP Go is Sony’s latest handheld to the market. It’s basically a new PSP but for some reason, seems to lack the hardware to make you go wow. Anyway, to cheer things up a little it appears that Sony will be pricing games on the PSN (PlayStation Network) starting at just €1 with a jump to €2 and finally €5 each.
This move brings the pricing in to the Apple App store price range and interestingly enough, Sony have been actively trying to get iPhone developers moving their games over to the PSP Go platform. [click to continue…]

AAXA have created their second generation Pico projector. It is named the P2 and has upped the resolution to SVGA which is 800 x 600 pixels. A 33 lumen LED light source throws an image up to 80″ in size. Currently, this is the highest spec Pico projector on the market (well, almost as it’s still only available by pre-order).
The projector measures 4.3″x2.1″x1″, and weights 260 grams. The unit has a VGA input which accepts a resolution of 1280 x 720 and batter life for the unit is just 35 minutes which you have to admit, it’s the greatest. However, optional batteries are available that will see the projector run for either 70 or 180 additional minutes. [click to continue…]

A new touchscreen notebook has been announced by Sony. The new VAIO W will be released this fall and will support Windows 7. By using a touchscreen the new VAIO will be able to use the touch features that are built in to Windows 7.
Other touted features are related to the Playstation partnership which should see the VAIO W accessing movies and TV and even possibly games. [click to continue…]

Back in the 80’s the Game & Watch style games were the best handhelds we had until the likes of the Nintendo Gameboy came along. Now the Game & Watch series are back but this time in a smaller keychain size. The games are fully licensed and currently 3 of the best titles are avialable which includes Donkey Kong Jr, Mario’s Cement Factory and Super Mario Bros.
Each game also has a retractable stand on the back allowing it to stand next to your bed ready to wake you in the morning. [click to continue…]

The PSP Go was made available for Pre-Order on Friday. The unit will cost $250 for the white version while the black one will cost you $249. I have no idea why the white and black models have a $1 difference.
Updates from the original PSP see that this new version has 16GB of internal flash memory as well as being capable of accepting memory sticks. The UMD drive has been dropped finally and the PSP Go can download content via the web over a wi-fi connection. [click to continue…]

The Freeloader Pro is a gadget well worth keeping with you while travelling. We all use mobile phones, digital cameras, camcorders, mp3 players as well as PDA’s etc… which all require batteries. The problem is that after a certain amount of time the batteries die. The Freeloader Pro is a handy device which allows you to connect it to your electronic devices to charge them while on the road. Sony have now launched their next version of the PSP firmware. This new version is numbered 5.50 and it has a few new enhancements.
The firmware update will introduce an Information Board on the PSP system’s XMB (XrossMediaBar) interface. Those of you who have a PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) may be familiar with this feature, which displays news and updates from the world of PlayStation in a scrolling ticker in the upper right-hand corner of your TV screen. Now you’ll be able to read up-to-date information about upcoming games, new content available on PlayStation Store, and other news right on your PSP whenever you’re at a wireless Internet hotspot.
