It appears that the latest Sony PSP advert is taking a dig at Apple [AAPL] iPhone users. The advert features a kid who says you can get decent games for the PSP for just $9.99 (older games) that are far better than what’s available on the mobile phones. The ad doesn’t specifically mention Apple although the phone one of the guys holds up clearly looks like an iPhone.
It isn’t clear why Sony are targeting mobile phones for gaming considering that recently it was revealed that Sony Ericsson could be making a PSP Go Android smartphone specifically aimed at gamers. Perhaps those rumours wont happen though.
