Apple [AAPL] has now made iOS 4 available for download ready for the iPhone 3GS, 3G and newer generation iPod Touch devices.
The update went like just over an hour ago. To grab it, you need to connect up your iPhone to your computer, load up iTunes and then click on the iPhone and check for updates. You should at that point be able to download it.
Before you download and install it is recommended that you have a backup ready and just to be on the safe side, make sure you have backups of your photos and any other files you may wish to keep. [Read more…]

Microsoft [MSFT] has launched the official Windows Live Messenger for iPhone. Features on the new app include photo sharing, social stream and of course, chat.
The Best Buy iPhone 4 launch plan has been leaked online. The plan is 24 pages long and covers subjects such as employee purchases, data plan requirements, micro SIM as well as the big don’ts.
For those who have ordered an iPhone 4 to arrive this Thursday June 24, the orders are now being prepared for shipping. It is expected that the first batch of iPhone 4’s are already in transit. Don’t get too excited that it’s coming early though as Apple [AAPL] usually ask the shipping companies such as UPS and FedEx, to keep hold of the new products until the official launch date.
The iPhone 4 launch is happening this coming week. Part of the new iPhone 4 is the camera that has been upgraded to include a higher resolution sensor at 5 megapixels along with backside illumination and an LED flash. We have previously seen sample pictures from the camera, but these were taken under perfect lighting situations and only show what is possible when used correctly, ie – your actual pictures might not look as good in all situations.
There has been a bit of worry amongst those who have ordered a SIM free iPhone 4 in the UK in regards of how and when you can get hold of a microSIM for it. We know that the
Vodafone is the next network in to reveal the iPhone 4 UK price. Vodafone has slightly increased the prices on the phones from the leaks we found earlier this week although pricing still looks good.
Apple [AAPL] has launched a new app called Find My iPhone. The app is part of the MobileMe service and will be familiar to those who already use the service through their computer.
Apple [AAPL] has confirmed that the iPhone 4 has 512MB of RAM inside. The original iPhone and iPhone 3G had 128MB while the iPhone 3GS and iPad have 256MB. Doubling the RAM in the iPhone 4 will allow developers more room to work with.
The Apple [AAPL] iPhone 4 continues to sell well in the UK with new pre-orders now shipping on July 14. For the last couple of days the date has been July 2 and for those who managed to get a pre-order in on Monday, you’ll still get yours June 24.
