Update: Site back up, still no pricing details. We still expect to hear soon and certainly before June 24.
Update 2: As seen in the comments – 3 are being a bit naughty. An email was sent out with the subject, ‘iPhone 4 on Three. Pre-order now. But if you read the full email, it goes on to say, ‘We will be announcing our prices later this week and we’ll be back in touch with more details.
We are seeing messages on Twitter saying that the Three network in the UK has opened up iPhone 4 pre-orders. However, no pricing or mention of tariffs is available in the email and right now the Three website is down for maintenance.
This leads us on to believe that Three could be actually offering pre-orders unlike O2 who have decided to let current customers get the iPhone 4.
As mentioned above, the Three site is down for maintenance but as soon as it opens back up, which we expect to be soon, then we’ll let you know if they have indeed opened up for pre-orders. We’ll also let you know the prices and what you can get for signing up with the network.

The website is back up, but with only the registration form (as far as I can see). Are they taking pre-orders now or not?
Looks like a false alarm. I’ve seen 3 or 4 mentions of it now on Twitter, but nobody went on to mention that pre-orders wont be starting today. Shame that they have to give a misleading subject. They only make themselves look like fools.
Just hold on rather than calling them fools, I registered interest to three as an existing customer to them and they text me today at about 6 o clock saying that they’ve reserved an iphone for me and will call me in the next few days about it. so expect details in a day or two
I am an existing 3 customer. Registered last week on the website. Have been sent a text and not an e-mail from 3 saying that they will send me an e-mail within the next couple of days……….
It was a false alarm certainly… a notification went out with the wrong subject on the e-mail.
I have received a text from 3 though saying that as a subscriber ready to upgrade, i’ll get mine early on.
I’m a 3 customer too. I recieved a text earlier today saying that I have an iPhone 4 reserved for myself (I assume because i’ve been with 3 for a very long time). They also said they’d phone me in a few days too. I guess this is to nail down the details of my new contract.
I’ve also had the text message, saying good news you have been reserved an iphone for ready for upgrade and they would be in touch in the next few days
Just got off the phone with 3, as one of their consultants whom i spoke to last week “promised” that he will call me today, and also “promised” that he will have a handset deliverd to me THIS WEEK.
Turns out, they have no package details in the call centre yet, and may not for at LEAST a few more days, whereafter only they will be starting to call us.
The agent also tried to force another type of handset down my throat.
So, holding thumbs…. maybe they will get back to me this week, maybe they won’t…
