Rumours about two new Palm webOS based phones and a new TouchStone have started circulating.
The details of the devices were revealed in a certification database. The database used was the same one that originally tracked the launch of the Pre Plus and the Pixi Plus which indicates that this could potentially be the real deal.
The two new model numbers listed include the P102UNA and the P102EWW as well as the TouchStone charger. [Read more…]
The SHatter iOS 4.1 jailbreak looks to be moving along nicely looking at information provided by the iPhone Dev Team.
The video embedded below shows an iPod touch 4th gen model being jailbroke. The SHatter software will use the exploit found by pod2g.
In the meantime, we’ve put @pod2g’s exploit into a beta version of PwnageTool to test the waters. The SHAtter exploit was enough to convince the iPod touch 4G to restore to our custom IPSW. The successful result is shown below! It’s all working: customized Preferences to show battery percentage, Cydia, root shell…the works!
It isn’t known just yet when Apple [AAPL] will launch a second generation iPad although April 2011 is touted due to it being the 1 year anniversary of the first iPad launch.
Some details of what the next gen iPad could look like have been uncovered in a patent application. The new patent shows an iPad with two dock ports (one on the long side and one on the short side) as well as a Smart Bezel that could be used for extra input on the tablet. Microsoft [MSFT] has announced that a press conference is being held on October 11 at 2PM in London. The press conference will run from 2pm to 5:30pm and is expected will be the Windows Phone 7 announcement as previously rumoured.
As well as launching the Windows Phone 7 OS, it is expected that press can get their hands on Windows Phone 7 devices at this time to test on location at the event. [Read more…]
New information reveals that Microsoft [MSFT] could be launching Windows Phone 7 on October 21. Neowin has spoken to people familiar with plans that suggest an event will happen on October 11 in New York City and then several events around the world will shortly follow in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Following those events it appears that Microsoft could give the go ahead to release several Windows Phone 7 devices to the market although it isn’t clear which countries will get the phones at launch.
Over here in the UK, Microsoft is planning for a London based radio station to promote the new operating system. Orange is also expected to be part of the launch. [Read more…]
As reported by Cnet, Sony has sent out an invitation for an NYC media event to introduce to the world, the first Internet Television on October 12th.
The Apple TV is beginning to ship according to a number of people who emailed Mac Rumors.
Yesterday, shipping information was changed to “Preparing for Shipment” and then shortly after that to “Shipped”. Indications reveal that the Apple TV for US customers will be arriving from Shenzhen China via Fedex. For me, ‘Sackboy’ has become the new mascot for Sony’s PS3. He’s the star of the hugely successful Little Big Planet wherein you were pretty much free to do more or less anything you wanted and allowed you to fully customize you own sack boy (or girl) with a myriad of various costumes from Metal Gear Solid to Killzone 2, from Street Fighter to God of War or even create your own.
Yet another bow to add to PS3’s ever-growing quiver and yet another round to continue the ever-growing battle of the consoles… According to the video games publisher EA, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 could be taking a back seat to Sony’s PS3.
If you own a Kindle and enjoy playing word games like Scrabble then you’re in luck.
Scrabble now makes its way to Kindle after Shuffled Row and Every Word and with the few user reviews its received so far, its all good and has been rated pretty highly. There are a few game modes to try out such as whether playing solo or ‘pass ‘n’ play’ with a mate.
Its exactly as the title suggests… If it’s not Sony’s, it could explode. This is regarding Sony’s press release about counterfeit playstation controllers.
Sony have stated that a number of controllers, that “identical in appearance to genuine PlayStation 3 wireless controllers,” have begun to sprout around the market. The company have also said that the “quality, reliability, and safety of counterfeit products is uncertain.”
Apple [AAPL] is rumoured again to be revamping the MacBook Air. This time the rumours indicate that it will have an LED backlit display that measures 11.6 inches. The 11.6 inch screen makes it almost 2 inches smaller than the current 13.3 inch MacBook Air.
The MacBook Air its self has only received a couple of revisions in the almost three years of its existence. It is believed this is the case due to lower sales than expected and Apple kind of forgetting about it. [Read more…]
