Logitec have launched the LDV-P8U2L which is an 8x DVD and 24x CD player that connects to your laptops or netbooks USB port.
It comes in 3 colours of silver, black or red and is powered fully by the USB port on the device it connects to.
From what the translation seems to say, it is indicated that you can actually boot from this USB DVD drive which makes using it on a netbook very handy for the times you need to do an OS reload. [Read more…]
Nokia are planning to build a Netbook according to a China-based Economic Daily News. The reports mention that a company named Elite Computer Systems (ECS) are discussing the said Netbook.
Acer have revealed their new Acer Aspire One netbook which has an 11.6 inch screen. The Aspire One 11.6 comes with an Intel Atom processor and uses the Mobile Intel US15W Express Chipset. Acer opted for a HD in this netbook which has a capacity of 160GB. Wi-fi at b/g speeds is included along with Bluetooth. The nice part here is that the netbook is also 3G capable allowing you to access the internet wherever you have a mobile phone signal.
Another Apple Netbook rumour is floating around today. This time it’s in the form of a 10.4″ ultra thin netbook that looks rather nice.
The Samsung N310 is a netbook that has a 10.1″ screen, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and an Intel Atom N270 processor that runs at 1.6GHz. It will be made available soon in the UK.
