Shuttle X Vision X50 Ultra-Slim All-In-One PC

Shuttle have released their new ultra-slim all-in-one PC this week. It is named the X Vision X50 and has a 15.6 inch LCD touchscreen built in. The screen can be worked with the included stylus pen. It comes with 1GB of DDR2 memory as well as an Intel Atom 330 Dual-core processor. Those specs allow it to run either Windows XP or Windows Vista. A 160GB SATAII HDD is included that provides plenty of storage space and a 4 in 1 memory card reader is also included allowing you to quickly transfer camera photos to your PC. [Read more…]

Samsung Pixon 12 Details Released

samsung-pixon_2Samsung have announced their latest mobile phone named the Samsung Pixon 12. The Pixon 12’s main feature is it’s beast of a camera that can capture images at 12 megapixels. As well as having a large resolution camera built in, the phone also has a 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen and 150MB of internal memory which can be bumped up to 16GB via a MicroSD card.

Connectivity wise it has HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and an internet GPS chip is also included. The 12 megapixel camera can capture vidoe’s at 30fps with a resolution of 720 x 480 pixels. [Read more…]

Samsung LED TV’s Showcasing in the US

Samsung are showcasing their new lineup of LED TV’s. The new Samsung Series 6000, 7000 and 8000 LED screens will all be on display across the US.

The LED TV’s measure just 1.2″ deep and are also eco-friendly. They use 40% less power then LCD TV’s that measure a similar size and are packed full of features. Those features include Internet@TV that can be found on the 7000 and 8000 models which allows you to connect them up to the web and use widgets to display photo streams from services like Flickr. The 6000 series uses InfoLink RSS service that allows you to grab news from various websites and have them sent direct to the TV. [Read more…]

iPhone 3 Rumour Round-up

Over the last few months there have been a bunch of rumours around the internet about a possible (and probable) iPhone 3 that will be introduced at WWDC next week.

Rumours have mentioned an upgraded camera, front camera for video calls, relocated higher speaker, ability to send recorded videos, video uploading direct to Youtube, OLED screen, faster wi-fi and 3G speeds, HD Video support, improved battery life with % indicator, digital compass, Nike+ support, matt rubber backing, Adobe Flash support, 32GB of storage and improved RAM. The image above shows a few more and the colour coding represents the probability with green being a very likely down to orange being less likely.

New HDMI Specifications Released

Details of the latest HDMI specifications have been released. The specifications numbered 1.4 indicate that Ethernet support for multiple devices will now be available. This networking capability will allow upstream audio connections as well as bi-directional communication for those connected devices.

“The HDMI Ethernet Channel will allow an Internet-enabled HDMI device to share its connection with other HDMI devices without the need for a separate Ethernet cable. The new feature will also provide the connection platform to allow HDMI-enabled devices to share content between devices,”

Heads Up Display for your Car – The HG400

The device is capable of showing either MPH or KPH units and also features a speed alert function to let you know when you are going over a pre-defined speed.

The HUD is powered by your cigarette lighter socked and the device costs $149.95. It’s a handy device to have that allows you to keep your eyes where they should be, on the road. The HG400 also has bluetooth built in allowing it to be connected to a smartphone, PC, laptop or PDA.

Sony Aino PS3 Syncing Phone Revealed

sony-ainoSony Ericsson have released details on a new phone named the Sony Aino. The Aino is capable of remotely accessing media content on the PS3 games console. Unfortunately the phone is not the rumoured/fabled PSPhone although you can access your PS3 remotely over 3G or Wi-fi access. Samsung Create a Bendable OLED Screen

samsung-flexible-amoledSamsung have created a new bendable OLED display. It measures 6.5 inches and is completely flexible. Samsung claim that the prototype screen is way more flexible then other AMOLED screens created.

The bendable display does not require low-temperatures to create an image unlike screens before. This has dropped production costs by a fair bit giving it potential to actually be mass produced. With the whole process being simplified it could mean we start seeing flexible screens sooner rather then later. [Read more…]
