With the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS device (a 3D handheld gaming device), the question has been asked about a Sony PSP 3D handheld device and if that was a possibility, or being worked on. In short the answer is no, it is not being worked on right now.
‘Our focus on 3D right now is on the console. There’s a tremendous amount of opportunity on PlayStation 3 with 3D. The amount of interest in 3D from the retail side and game publishers is off the charts. We know we have a hit with 3D on PS3 and we’re going to concentrate our efforts there.

Tilt FX is a device that attaches to the bottom of your Sony PSP and adds motion control to games on the device. The small Tilt FX device is programmed to replace the normal direction pad controls essentially taking over the directions when you tilt the device.
Wall Street Journal today reported that Sony are planning to take on Apple [AAPL] this year by releasing a much rumoured Sony PSP smartphone.
The PSP Go has been taken apart before a few times, but this time the whole process was captured in stop motion animation showing each screw and cable being unfastened until every piece of the GO is separated.
Sony have announced that the PSP-3000 system will be made available in a special Gran Turismo pack. Gran Turismo PSP is launching on October 1st after what seems like a several year delay. It’s actually great to see it being released. The special pack will be launched on the 20th October and will include the game on UMD as well as a silver PSP-3000, a downloadable voucher so you can get a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (for the game that is), 2GB memory Stick DUO and a movie/music pass allowing you to download 10 songs from the PlayStation network store.
The Sony PSP Go is Sony’s latest handheld to the market. It’s basically a new PSP but for some reason, seems to lack the hardware to make you go wow. Anyway, to cheer things up a little it appears that Sony will be pricing games on the PSN (PlayStation Network) starting at just ‚¬1 with a jump to ‚¬2 and finally ‚¬5 each.
If you have a spare Sony PSP kicking around your house and lack the funds to buy a second monitor for your PC then you can now use your PSP to display the status of your PC.
The Cobra Stand is built to handle the PSP 2000 and 3000 series consoles. 2 stands are available in this pack. The first is a traditional suction cup type stand which allows you to attach the PSP to your windscreen or any desk. The stand is flexible and measures 26cm.
Rumours are circulating again. This time it’s rumours about the Sony PSP. The source of this information is highly trusted over at VG247 and they mentioned that a new redesigned PSP is on it’s way this year.
The Sony PSP2 hasn’t been spoken of too much around here, but no doubt Sony will introduce it one day in the future. A designer named Tai Cheim has created some concept designs that look very good. The idea behind them is to use a flexible screen that changes to being rigid when rolled out so that you get a nice large flat screen that can be stored in little space.
