Over the last few months we have seen the occasional rumour about the upcoming Apple Tablet (if that’s what it’s going to be called). Rumours seem to be getting more frequent now and the most recent one claims that an analyst (anonymous) has seen the tablet with his own eyes.
No details were revealed about the Apple Tablet and previous to this information we can only guess that it will feature a 10″ screen and basically look like a large iPod Touch with multimedia specialities. [Read more…]
Perhaps this DIY Paper Record Player is one of the best hacked gadgets I have seen in a long time.
To build it the creator simply got a sheet of paper and rolled it in to a funnel while attaching a small needle on to the end of the paper with sticky tape. He then holds the funnel to the record while using their other hand to rotate the record which then the funnel pumps out the music. [Read more…]

The Windows Phone (the new name for Windows Mobile 6.5) final build has been revealed by Microsoft. The preview shows Windows Phone installed on an HTC Touch Diamond2.
The new name comes as the phone will be heavily integrated with Windows 7 on a 3 screen strategy that they have working within the cloud. When a user leaves their PC at the desk to go out and about the cloud setup will allow the user to access everything they need while on the move in effect, taking the PC in a phone with them. The Nintendo DS is about to get a rather odd looking accessory for a new piano game that is launching. The game, that’s not actually a game but more of an educational title, is called Easy Piano and the piano attachment has a 1 octave keyboard with 8 notes that runs the full width of the DS.
The title is created by Namco Bandai and allows uses to start off simple and work their way up to classics from Mozart and Beethoven. Other tunes are also included in the piano game such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Jingle Bells to name a few. [Read more…]
AAXA have created their second generation Pico projector. It is named the P2 and has upped the resolution to SVGA which is 800 x 600 pixels. A 33 lumen LED light source throws an image up to 80″ in size. Currently, this is the highest spec Pico projector on the market (well, almost as it’s still only available by pre-order).
The projector measures 4.3″x2.1″x1″, and weights 260 grams. The unit has a VGA input which accepts a resolution of 1280 x 720 and batter life for the unit is just 35 minutes which you have to admit, it’s the greatest. However, optional batteries are available that will see the projector run for either 70 or 180 additional minutes. [Read more…]
The Samsung SNE-50K is a new eBook Reader that enters the already competitive eBook Reader market. To be successful it will need to go up against the Amazon Kindle that is backed by a huge brand as well as the Plastic Logic eBook Reader that has Barnes & Noble providing eBooks for it.
The SNE-50K has a 5 inch screen that has a resolution of 600×800 pixels. It weighs 6.5 ounces and has half a gig of memory. The device also has handwriting recognition built in and can read text files, PDF’s and MS office documents. [Read more…]

Android developer Jean-Baptiste Quero has done a code drop for the Android OS. The new update is called Donut and although not quite ready for release, it shows some good things are coming.

RadioShack has announced that it will be be offering T-Mobile products in 4000 stores nationwide in the US. The deal will allow for produts such as the G1 and the MyTouch to be sold in-store.
This new deal between the 2 companies gives T-Mobile a much bigger presence on the high street. [Read more…]
Back in the 80’s the Game & Watch style games were the best handhelds we had until the likes of the Nintendo Gameboy came along.
