The BlackBerry Storm 2 was revealed a few days ago. The new version of the Storm has a more user-friendly screen technology called SurePress that uses piezo-electric displays that can detect different amounts of pressure pushing down on the screen rather than if there is a touch or not like traditional touchscreen phones.

If you are looking for a new wireless keyboard for your computer and need one with a touchpad built in then Adesso have created the SlimTouch which features what you need. It is called the WKB-4000UV and uses the 2.4GHz RF band to allow it to function up to 30 feet away from the receiver.

A few months back, Lenova announced the IdeaPad S12 netbook that was going to run the NVIDIA Ion chip set. We now hear that they have delayed shipping of the unit as they are waiting for Windows 7 to be launched. As Windows 7 is literally around the corner the good news is that the netbook/laptop should be shipping by the end of this month.
The IdeaPad S12 runs an Intel Atom N270 processor and uses the NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics chip. This particular model with these specs will cost more than a standard version running just the Intel Atom processor. [Read more…]
Archos have confirmed that September 15th is the day they are officially announcing their new Android powered Tablet.

Vonage, the VoIP company, are updating their services for those customer paying for the $24.99/month plan. The first new feature called Vonage World will allow unlimited calls across the world to over 60 countries. This will cover about 4.5 billion people (2/3 of the population). Previously unlimited calls were allowed just for the US, Canada and 5 other European countries. Bumping that up to over 60 is a fantastic move.
Michael said, “That’s really 60 whole countries, unlike some competitors who offer specific destinations or cities within a country. When we say it’s a country that is included for unlimited we mean every place within the borders of that country. These countries represent nearly two-thirds of the world’s population.”
This bat cave home cinema was built by Frankston HiFi and was built from the ground up starting right at the carpet. Walls we then created carefully to make them look as realistic as possible. The room measures 26ft x 18ft making it fairly large.
On the technical side of things the bat cave cinema has a 10ft curved screen along with a communications room that holds all the audio and video equipment needed to run the room. A remote controlled pneumatic sliding door allows access to the room when needed although there are no poles to slide down for access. [Read more…]
Dell have revealed details on their latest laptop named the Dell Inspiron 11z. The Dell 11z is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron 723 CULV processor, has an integrated graphics chip and an 11.6 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
The price tag is $399 for the starting model which runs Windows Vista Home Premium and comes with 2GB of RAM. [Read more…]

After months of rumours, Sony have now (well, yesterday) officially announced that there is a new slim PS3 being launched. The slim PlayStation 3 is about 2/3rds the size of the original and thanks to new components within, the unit uses just 1/3rd of the power that the original PS3 did. This results in a rather sleek looking games console and thanks to the power reduction, a quieter one too.
The power consumption has been cut down thanks to a 45nm Cell Processor that runs at the same speed as the old one. Also a new feature is built in called BRAVIA Sync which allows you to use the TV remote control to control the PS3. [Read more…]
Atomic Floyd are a premium audio company that create some amazing looking earphones. The latest in their list to be released are called TwistJax and feature a unique twisting section on each earphone to allow them to sit more comfortably in any shaped ear.
The earphones are made of very thin metal which allows for a larger acoustic chamber that further enhances the sound quality. The wires are covered in a nylon surrounding making them pretty much tangle free which is a very welcomed feature. The 3.5mm earphone jack is covered in 24 carat gold to further enhance quality.
