HP Windows Phone 7 Wont Happen

HP confirmed recently that it will not be making a smartphone that runs Windows Phone 7. The company also confirmed the same for Android based phones. Instead, the company will be focusing on webOS and pushing out that platform that they feel has a lot to offer.

The information comes from an interview on CNBC…

‘As we continue to be Microsoft’s largest customer, and as we continue to believe that we will drive innovation with Microsoft, at the same time, I think it’s clear to say that we’re very focused on the customer and giving the customer the experience that’s important to them. We will not do a Linux (Linux)/Android (Android) phone. We won’t do a Microsoft phone.

iOS 4 Bluetooth Problems

Since the release of iOS 4, a number of complaints about Bluetooth have appeared on the Apple [AAPL] support forums. It seems like those who decided to upgrade from iOS 3.X to iOS 4 have been getting the problems with patch connections and bad audio quality.

The problems are not all related to those who have upgraded though as some who run the iPhone 4 which is supplied with iOS 4 are also reporting the issue. The problem with playing audio wirelessly is also being reported. [Read more…]

White iPhone 4 Delayed Again

Apple [AAPL] just launched the free iPhone 4 case scheme by way of an app that you can download. As well as getting the free case program up and running, the company has also announced that the White iPhone 4 that was expected this month, has been delayed.

White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.

The Apple [AAPL] iPad has sold extremely well to the tune of 3.3 million units we heard earlier this week.

With that demand, LG is struggling to make enough screens to get the iPad on the shelves.

Lenovo Android Tablet Revealed

We hear that Lenovo is also going to be making a tablet computer. The new style of tablet will of course follow along with what the iPad, HP Slate and others look like in that it will drop the old style keyboard and run a more appropriate operating system.

The Lenovo model has been code-named LePad and will run the Google [GOOG] Android operating system. Unfortunately there are no official pictures of what it will look like and we don’t know when the company plan on launching it either.

It is unclear also if the code-name of LePad will be used as the final product name. Names aside though, Lenovo need to act quickly as Apple [AAPL] are getting a huge headstart over all other companies who have yet made a worthy competitor. [Read more…]

T-Mobile to get iPhone in Q3 2010 – Rumor

We’ve had a few weeks of no details regarding the iPhone moving to other networks in the US. A few weeks ago we heard it was getting close to arriving at Verizon [VZ] and now we hear again (perhaps the second time this year) that T-Mobile will be getting the iPhone from Apple [AAPL].

This rumour (pinch of salt required) indicates that T-Mobile US are very close to closing a deal with Apple which would see the end of the AT&T exclusivity.

T-Mobile USA is very close to getting the iPhone in the fall, ending Apple’s exclusive relationship with AT&T, according to a highly placed source at the wireless company.

Talks between Apple and T-Mobile are at an advanced stage, our source says, and it’s 80 percent likely that the iPhone will be coming to T-Mobile in Q3.
