Next week Mitsubishi will be putting on display a 149 inch prototype OLED display at ISE 2010 in Amsterdam. The huge OLED display has a resolution of just 1088 x 640 pixels though as each pixel measures 3mm which when viewed from far still gives a very impressive picture from what reports say.
The light output measures 1500cd/m2 and the production model will run several times brighter than a regular LCD display. By having such a bright screen it makes it functional in indoor and bright lit areas. [Read more…]
Last week we reported that the
Apple [AAPL], on Wednesday opened up VoIP capabilities over 3G networks in their latest SDK. Immediately after launched the iCall application was modified to allow for 3G VoIP calls to be made. Next on the list is Fring who have now modified their VoIP app to be 3G-friendly.
Apple [AAPL] have lifted the restrictions that prevent making VoIP calls over 3G networks on their latest iPhone SDK 3.2.
The iPad was officially announced yesterday by Apple [AAPL]. At the event reporters were able to get close to the device to see what it’s all about. The iPad runs the Apple A4 1GHz processor and from what we see on the video below, it runs things very smoothly.

Today, Apple [AAPL] finally made their tablet device official and gave it the name Apple iPad. The iPad has a 9.7 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with IPS technology. The full device measures 9.56 inches tall, 7.47 inches wide and 0.5 inches thick and weighs 1.5 or 1.6 pounds depending on if you choose the 3G model or not.

After many months of rumours, Apple [AAPL] have officially announced the Apple iPad. iPad will be the official name and not Apple Tablet, Apple iSlate or whatever else we were expecting.
Robert Scoble managed to meet up with Dr Adrian Cable who is the CTO of Light Blue Optics. The Light Touch is device that sits on a table and is capable of projecting an image on to the surface it sits on. An infra-red curtain is created across the table and when you touch the desk you can interact with the projector.
Since launch, the Google [GOOG] Nexus One has had a few problems. One of the problems is 3G connectivity that has been spotty for users. Many Nexus One users are reported to have this problem.
Nokia have built a concept idea that is called the Mobile Radar. Mobile Radar is capable of measuring an objects distance and speed as well as direction all on a mobile phone. The screen shows all the details such as if they are travelling towards or away from you and how fast they are moving.
