Patch to be Released by Google to Fix Nexus One Problems

Since launch, the Google [GOOG] Nexus One has had a few problems. One of the problems is 3G connectivity that has been spotty for users. Many Nexus One users are reported to have this problem.

From what we hear, Google are going to be launching a patch that will fix the spotty 3G connectivity issues. The update will be launched as a patch for those using the phone…

I wanted to post an update to the Nexus One Help Forum to let you know what we’ve been working on to help address the 3G issues some of you have been facing. I also wanted to thank you for being patient as we work to investigate the problem, an effort which has included our hardware partners.

Our engineers have uncovered specific cases for which a software fix should improve connectivity to 3G for some users. We are testing this fix now, initial results are positive, and if everything progresses as planned, we will provide an over-the-air software update to your phone in the next week or so.

It is expected that the patch will be launched in the next week or so. If you are a Nexus One user and get the patch in the next few weeks do let us know if it fixes the problem.
