Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The new Galaxy Tab has a larger screen, as the name suggests. When launched, it will run the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system that has been designed by Google to be especially for tablet devices.
Powering the device is a Tegra 2 processor. The screen measures 10.1 inches and has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The screen is TFT and very similar to the Galaxy Tab 7 inch model. [Read more…]
As you may have noticed, there’s a lot of smartphone announcements being made today. This is due to Mobile World Congress running this week.
As well as the Xperia Play introduced by Sony Ericsson yesterday, the company has also revealed the Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro smartphones. Each of the new devices runs the Google Android operating system which from what the press release says, is the latest which means it’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

After months of waiting, Sony Ericsson has announced the PlayStation Phone. The device is called the Xperia Play and as already mentioned since the beginning of the rumors, the device runs the Android operating system.
Samsung will be announcing a new tablet this coming Sunday evening at the opening of Mobile World Congress. The new tablet will be larger than the Galaxy Tab in that it will have a 10.1 inch screen although we hear that it will also be thinner and lighter than the smaller 7 inch model.
Hitachi has created a new display that measures 4.5 inches and managed to pack in 1280 x 720 pixels. With the screen size and the amount of pixels on the screen, it has a slightly higher pixel density when compared to the Retina Display that Apple created for the iPhone 4.
You will probably be aware of Nokia announcing today that it is partnering with Microsoft to bring Windows Phone 7 to Nokia smartphones. The full announcement is now available online showing both Stephen Elop of Nokia and Steve Ballmer of Microsoft who were in London earlier today.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 – i9100, is expected to launch next week at MWC. The specs of this particular smartphone have been leaked online and show that it runs a 1.2GHz Samsung Orion processor and has a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, also by Samsung from what we understand.
