For those of you in the UK, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc will be launched in April this year. The new smartphone will be launched on the Three network although the exact date and pricing have not yet been revealed.

Details of a new phone from HTC have leaked. This new device is codenamed the HTC Pyramid and is expected to run a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The processor is from Qualcomm and is the MSM8260. We also hear that the device will have a 4.3 inch qHD display.
The device is expected to be compatible on HSPA+ networks and will be launched on the T-Mobile network in May 2011. [Read more…]
T-Mobile has announced the LG G-Slate. This particular tablet has an 8.9 inch screen and runs an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The operating system that will run on the G-Slate is Android 3.0.
The 8.9 inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels allowing users to watch 720p HD video. A unique feature of this particular tablet is that it has a couple of cameras on the back capable of capturing 3D pictures. [Read more…]
T-Mobile has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy S 4G smartphone. Many people already knew that this particular smartphone was coming to T-Mobile, but now it has been officially confirmed.
The Galaxy S 4G is capable of connecting up to T-Mobiles 4G network which they say has a theoretical peak download speed of up to 21Mbps.
Android 2.2 is installed on this particular smartphone and it comes with a 1GHz processor, a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen and 16GB of internal memory.
The Google Chrome browser is growing in market share recently and now accounts for 10 percent share of the browser market last month.
On the other side of the scale, Internet Explorer from Microsoft is still sliding and has dropped to 56 percent and although that’s still an impressive share of the market, the fact that it’s sliding is something for Microsoft to be concerned about. One thing to note though is that Internet Explorer 9 will also be launching soon which from what we have seen of the browser, could make Microsoft start to gain traction again. [Read more…]
Pictures of the iPad 2 screen have leaked on to the Internet. What we see is a comparison between the iPad and the iPad 2 display. The new one is thinner by about 1mm and also has a slimmer bezel which should help shrink the iPad 2 down a little in size.
Some investigations have revealed that the screen will still have the 1024×768 resolution and not be retina as originally rumored. This is thanks to the model number found on a sticker with the reference number LP097x02 SLN1. Each of those sets of digits has a meaning such as it being created by LG Phillips, 097 refers to it being a 9.7 inch screen, SL means H-IPS and N1 is unknown at the moment. AT&T has announced that it will be shipping the HTC Inspire 4G in February 13.
The Inspire 4G will run Android 2.2 when it launches and will be an HSPA+ device that will run at almost 4G speeds when connected up to the AT&T network.
Other features include the AT&T mobile hotspot service allowing users to share bandwidth over a small network. [Read more…]
More details of the iPad 2 have leaked out in the last couple of days. This time, the rumors/leaks revolve around the screen, processor and the size of the tablet.
The first rumor hints at Apple opting for a 1.2GHz dual core processor. The processor will be the Cortex A9 and as well as having the dual core processor, hints at it having an Imagination Technologies SGX 543 dual core GPU have also been mentioned. News Corp has announced the launch date of its new digital news paper called The Daily. The launch date will be February 2 and is believed to be launched in time with the new Apple subscription platform that will be made available in iTunes.
The Daily will be launched at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Apple will have Eddy Cue attending who is the VP of Internet Services. Also, we hear Rupert Murdoch will also be attending the event. [Read more…]

When Apple announced the iPhone almost 8 months ago, they said that black and white versions would be launching. Of course, we waited and waited even longer and still wait now for the white iPhone 4 to launch.
Good news for some is that it looks like the white iPhone 4 might be launching soon as it has started to appear on a number of websites in the UK such as Three and Orange as well as a provider in Germany and has appeared in stock listings for AT&T in the US. [Read more…]
