Reports of a new approved patent that Apple [AAPL] filed have been found recently. The patent discusses ads which require users to interact with a device by perhaps acknowledging they have read the ad, or performing some action. NYT seems to think it will take us back 10 years by forcing ads upon a user, but on the other hand, Fake Steve Jobs indicates we could look at it a different way in that users pay a small nominal fee for watching TV for example… ad free.

Sony have officially announced the latest firmware for the PS3 numbered v3.10. In the new version of the firmware the software will allow you to connect your PS3 up to Facebook so that your newsfeed can be automatically updated. When logged in, the PS3 will automatically upload information of your latest scores.

A leak shows that Sony are to launch a new range of TV’s that will probably go on display at CES in 2010 in just a few weeks time. If you have a Palm Pre on the Sprint network then information on the Palm site indicates an update to webOS is being launched on November 15 (although some reports are saying you can get it right now). The update takes webOS from version 1.2.1 to 1.3.1. Information in version text at Palm indicates that no new applications are being added, but that some changes are being made to current versions of the applications.
