A new gesture capture system has been created that allows you to wave your hands in front of a computer screen to control objects on the screen. This new system is still in early stages, but a big step up here is that it requires no gloves to control it.
The system works by using a Bi-Directional screen called BiDi that has a screen and behind it that shows a pinhole array pattern. The backlight is alternated with the image allowing the screen to show an image as well as capture what is in front of the screen. I’m guessing there will be quite a lot of information today about the Google Nexus One phone over the coming days and weeks. The next information to be revealed shows that the Nexus One has had approval by the FCC. In this case there is only the image above that shows what’s happening at the moment. What the image does confirm is that the phone is called the Nexus One (see NEXUSONE) and that it has a microSD slot along side the SIM card slot.

ASUS are getting ready to launch a new device they will call the Eee Pad. The ASUS Eee Pad is a tablet based device that will have a screen measuring between 4 and 7 inches that will function as a tablet and MID.
Expansys in the UK are now selling the Motorola MILESTONE (aka, DROID in the US). According to SlashGear, eXpansys currently have an exclusive agreement in place that gives them full rights to selling the phone. You can choose to have the phone unlocked where it will set you back £449.99, or chose to buy a subsidized model which will lower the price, but lock you in to a contract for a certain amount of time.

HTC have launched a software update for the HTC HD2 that aims to fix the camera problems that the model has had since launch. The update is described as being a Digital Picture Enhancement and was released just today.
The USB Gadget Display is a tiny LCD screen measuring just 1.5 inches. The screen is designed to sit next your PC or laptop and provide feedback from sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
MiNEW have launched a new netbook called the MiNEW N20U that has a 10.1 inch LCD screen offering a 1024×576 display resolution. The netbook is powered by an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and comes standard with 1GB of RAM.
Rumours are floating around again about the Apple Tablet which previously was “scheduled” for the second half of 2010. The new rumour says it’s actually arriving in March 2010.
