Those of you with a T-Mobile G1 could be getting an OTA (over the air) update very soon taking Android on your phone to version 2.0 or perhaps even 2.0.1.
The Android Eclair update brings a number of feature to Android phones. What we do hope for is T-Mobile launching Android 2.1 which we have recently seen on the Nexus One.

For those who want to use wireless tethering on their Motorola DROID, it is now possible thanks to users over at droid forums. For a while it has already been possible to use USB tethering to access the internet, but now it is possible to use your DROID as a wireless router and allow several people connect and share the data connection.
HTC have launched four new widgets for the Hero/Eris Android phones. The first is a battery widget that shows a small battery icon on the home screen. When tapped a widget pops open that shows the current status of the battery including how much charge is left, what the battery temperature is, how it is being charged/discharged as well as the general health of the battery.
SlashGear received some renders and life shots of a new SmartPad being created by Notion Ink. As of now the SmartPad has no official name although we do know it runs the Android OS and from what SlashGear have mentioned it also runs a new NVIDIA Tegra T20 chipset that can support full HD video playback at a 1080p resolution.
ASUS have announced that they are working on EeeBot that is an educational robot designed to work with children that uses the Android OS to run. Verizon just let BGR know that an OTA (over the air) update is being made available for the HTC DROID Eris. The updates were being pushed put at midnight last night meaning that when you read this you might have a notification of a new update ready to be installed this morning. However, only a small group will first get the update today with other users getting the update as Verizon roll it out over the next few days.
