Apple TV Orders Begin Shipping

The Apple TV is beginning to ship according to a number of people who emailed Mac Rumors.

Yesterday, shipping information was changed to “Preparing for Shipment” and then shortly after that to “Shipped”. Indications reveal that the Apple TV for US customers will be arriving from Shenzhen China via Fedex. It is unclear at the moment if other countries will receive the new device from Shenzhen or from another location. [Read more…]

Little Big Planet 2 Delayed Until January 18th

For me, ‘Sackboy’ has become the new mascot for Sony’s PS3. He’s the star of the hugely successful Little Big Planet wherein you were pretty much free to do more or less anything you wanted and allowed you to fully customize you own sack boy (or girl) with a myriad of various costumes from Metal Gear Solid to Killzone 2, from Street Fighter to God of War or even create your own.

Scrabble Coming To Kindle

If you own a Kindle and enjoy playing word games like Scrabble then you’re in luck.

Scrabble now makes its way to Kindle after Shuffled Row and Every Word and with the few user reviews its received so far, its all good and has been rated pretty highly. There are a few game modes to try out such as whether playing solo or ‘pass ‘n’ play’ with a mate.

If It’s Not Sony’s, It Could Explode

Its exactly as the title suggests… If it’s not Sony’s, it could explode. This is regarding Sony’s press release about counterfeit playstation controllers.

Sony have stated that a number of controllers, that “identical in appearance to genuine PlayStation 3 wireless controllers,” have begun to sprout around the market. The company have also said that the “quality, reliability, and safety of counterfeit products is uncertain.”

11.6 Inch MacBook Air in Production?

Apple [AAPL] is rumoured again to be revamping the MacBook Air. This time the rumours indicate that it will have an LED backlit display that measures 11.6 inches. The 11.6 inch screen makes it almost 2 inches smaller than the current 13.3 inch MacBook Air.

The MacBook Air its self has only received a couple of revisions in the almost three years of its existence. It is believed this is the case due to lower sales than expected and Apple kind of forgetting about it. [Read more…]

Droid X Android 2.2 Update Causing Music and Ringtone Issues

The Android 2.2 update for Motorola DROID X users went live recently. However, since the roll out it appears that some users are having problems with music and ringtones on the Droid X.

It seems like its a small set of users experiencing the problem rather than a high percentage. Right now Verizon has only said that they are looking in to it when asked.

As its a small percentage, we assume that most users are having no problems at all with the update and that all things went swimmingly. [Read more…]

iPad Users Are Happy with Their Purchase

Reports are indicating that customers of Apple [AAPL] who purchased an iPad are generally happy with that purchase.

The information comes from the American Customer Satisfaction Index that shows 4% more people are happier with their computer purchases when compared to last year.

The report shows 78 on the ASCI 100-point scale which is 4 more than last year. [Read more…]
