SlashGear received some renders and life shots of a new SmartPad being created by Notion Ink. As of now the SmartPad has no official name although we do know it runs the Android OS and from what SlashGear have mentioned it also runs a new NVIDIA Tegra T20 chipset that can support full HD video playback at a 1080p resolution.
The Notion Ink SmartPad has a 10.1 inch display capable of displaying 1024 x 600 pixels. The display comes from Pixel Qi and has a matte finish. Entry can be performed either via touchscreen or by a built in trackpad. [Read more…]
Pioneer have launched the DreamBook Light U11 CULV laptop that comes with a choice of four processors including an Intel Core 2 DUO CULV, Core 2 Solo CULV and two variations of Dual Core CULV processors. The display measures 11.6 inches and is backlit by LED and supports a HD resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
It appears that Google [GOOG] are working with a company to actually build a Google branded netbook. Reasons for this are more than likely to be that they want to get a Chrome OS netbook running with the exact specifications that they want rather that what the manufacturers want.
CherryPal have launched a new netbook called Africa. The real interesting thing here is that they are selling it for $99. For the $99 you get a 7 inch screen along with a 400 MHz processor, 256MB of RAM and 2GB of storage.
Although we are looking at another fake here, it’s still a cool fake at that. We are not 100% sure it is fake as you never really know till the official announcement, but lets call it high 99%.
The guys over at wow-pow.com managed to get hold of a Kohjinsha DX dual screen netbook for review. The full review hasn’t been completed yet although they say it will be ready in the next 24 hours or so. For now, they just go through a quick unboxing and then give a demo of how the dual screen opens up.
After a few days of silence from TechCrunch about the
ASUS are getting ready to launch a new device they will call the Eee Pad. The ASUS Eee Pad is a tablet based device that will have a screen measuring between 4 and 7 inches that will function as a tablet and MID.
Pocket-Lint has found out information saying that an Android based tablet device will be revealed at CES 2010 by Dell. The tablet will go head to head with a number of new tablets such as the
MiNEW have launched a new netbook called the MiNEW N20U that has a 10.1 inch LCD screen offering a 1024×576 display resolution. The netbook is powered by an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and comes standard with 1GB of RAM.
Rumours are floating around again about the Apple Tablet which previously was “scheduled” for the second half of 2010. The new rumour says it’s actually arriving in March 2010.
For those of us in the UK we can expect to get our hands on the Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PTZ netbook tablet on 25 January 2010.
