Full Motion Formula Simulator
I came across a cool simulator today which gives a far better formula 1 experience. Just looking at it working kind of shows it’s far from being just a simulator. The Full Motion Formula Simulator has a good number of features to make the whole gaming experience that little bit better. For starters the whole full scale formula 1 car is mounted on a hydraulic unit which provides three dimensional movements. [Read more…]

iRobot Roomba 530 Vacuum Review
Reviewing a vacuum cleaner isn’t the most interesting of things I can think of to do, however, when it’s a Robot Vacuum Cleaner then suddenly it becomes more interesting. Today I am reviewing the iRobot Roomba 530 Vacuum Cleaner and I have to admit, it’s amazing! The thought of leaving a robot to sort all my home vacuuming is great! Just quickly, another vacuum to check out is the neato vacuum cleaner that just recently launched.

Lowrider Bike with Hydraulics
Many of you will have seen the bouncing cars in rap videos, or the competitions that run to see who can get their car to bounce the highest. However, one thing I have never seen is a pedal bike with air suspension built in to raise it up. This “lowrider bike” sports all the usual lowrider type gear such as the many spoke wire wheels and the most important part, the air suspension which allow it to move up and down. You must check out the videos after the jump to see the lowrider bike in action. They are class! The second video also has flames coming out the back.

PenandMouse – LED Light, Mouse and Note Taker
The PenandMouse comes from Korea and was created by ISV. Supplied with the pen is a 2.4GHz wireless dongle and a mouse pad which allows it to communicate with your PC for up to 10 hours of non stop use with 10 days of standby. The pen has a number of functions which allow it to act as a 3 button mouse (with scroll wheel), a standalone memo taker which will store in it’s memory the things you write which can then be transferred to your PC at a later date. The pen is fairly small in size and not much bigger then an average pen which makes it useful to travel with when using your laptop. The LED lamp built in allows the mouse pen to be used in dark places while keeping your work illuminated. Another handy feature is the presentation pointer that is built in. All around it appears to be a very handy little device and it will be interesting to see how easy the switch back to a pen shaped mouse is.

Ferrari Pedal Car

BergToys have created a mini Ferrari Pedal Car which takes it’s design from the limited edition Ferrari FXX. This is no normal pedal car though as it has a 7 speed transmission, disc brakes and an on-board computer. The tires are slicks on 5 spoke rims. Two of these Ferrari Pedal Car models will be available. The first costs $730 and is the standard version with the exclusive edition costing $2200.

The exclusive edition is pictured above and features a leather steering wheel, bucket seat with 4 point harness and an aero kit. It sounds great fun!

Phantom Mouse Saves your Job

The Motorcycle Air Bag will save your life in the way to the office and the Phantom mouse will save your job. If you are browsing the internet from your work PC and it’s against company policy you will find that if caught you might be out of a job. The Phantom mouse takes 1 step in a direction which might prevent that by introducing a small red button just below the scroll wheel. If your boss decides to walk your way you just hit the panic button and all the windows automatically hide.
Tire Alignment Sensors

This wheel features electronic sensors which are embedded in to the tire. Information is collected from the sensors and fed back to a vehicle information system. That data is processed and the “tweel ribs” flex through wireless technology to cause the pressure to stay level across the tire. The idea is just in concept at the moment from the guys over at Yanko. If this technology was to be made it would have a number of uses such as longer wear on the tire and even the possibility to not have to rotate the wheels like we currently do now.
Apple Patent – Illuminated Touch Pad for Visual Feedback
A Patent for Apple was filed August last year and approved yesterday. The patent is for an Illuminated Touch Pad which appears that the light panel will be capable of emitting light in localized areas of the input surface. What this means is basically visual feed back which when you touch the scroll wheel on an iPod, the touch wheel will light up under your finger to visually show what just happened with the light actually following your finger around the dial. As well as the touch wheel being illuminated, the button in the middle will also light up too to show the actions on what it is doing.
