Occasionally we come across Lego gadgets which generally fall in to the category of cool because you have to admit, most Lego is cool.
The latest we came across just today was a custom built Lego Bugatti Veyron that was built at a scale of 1:8. Inside there’s plenty of good features too including a 7 speed sequential gear box along with a reverse gear. The Veyron has a motorised retractable roof, independent suspension, all wheel drive, retractable spoiler and air break (motorised too of course), motorised forwards/backwards/left/right movements and a whole load more cool features that make it one of the best Lego sets I have seen. Mechanical Engineering students at Yale have managed to create a Spokeless Bicycle. The bike uses a wheel that has teeth around the inner side of the rim that mesh with gears attached to the bicycle. By offering a spokeless set of wheels the space can be used for other functions such as a generator to be attached to the bike.

A patent has been found that was filed by Canon and provides details of a touchscreen DSLR camera. Filed back in April and approved in October this year, the patent describes a DSLR camera where you can easily manipulate the settings by touching the screen rather than the buttons.

The Simulator company Cruden has built an F1 simulator that costs a hefty £120,000. The simulator is called the Hexatech and is capable of providing what Cruden call 6DOF (six degrees of freedom).
