USB Power Station has 5000mAh of Capacity

The USB Power Station is designed to give your mobile phone batter a boost when you are away from a regular power source. The device can hold up to 5000mAh of battery storage that can charge a mobile phone, MP3 player or any other electrical gadget while on the move.

The Power Station has a couple of USB ports allowing up to two phones to be charged simultaneously. With a 5000mAh battery built in it allows for a regular phone to be charged 2 – 3 times or more depending on the capacity of the phone battery you have (usually between 1000mAh and 1500mAh).

Corsair 128GB USB Flash Drive Launched

Corsair have announced a new range of USB flash drives that come in capacities of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

Each of the drives uses the USB 2.0 interface which on the surface seems like they are standing still. However, what Corsair have done here is use a new quad-channel architecture that brings speeds up to 34MB/s. This still isn’t as quick as what USB 3.0 can achieve but for those who want a huge capacity of 128GB at a USB 2.0 price that runs quicker than regular USB 2.0 devices then you aren’t going too far wrong. Lenovo Thinkpad W701 with USB 3.0 and 16GB of RAM

Lenovo have just announced their new Thinkpad X201 series of laptops that we just mentioned. We also hear that they have created some high-end laptops that come with USB 3.0 and 16GB of RAM. The new Lenovo Thinkpad W701 is the companies first Thinkpad to feature USB 3.0 and is capable of transferring date at up to 5GBps.

The laptop isn’t small as it packs in a lot of high-spec features that includes plenty of RAM at 16GB, a Quad-Core 2GHz Core i7 processor (on the top end of the range) and is capable of handling demanding visual editing.

The graphics card tops out at the Quadro FX 3800M that allows pro-level 3D rendering. Storage wise it has the option of either a harddrive with a 160GB capacity or an SSD with a 128GB capacity. [Read more…]

4 Port USB 3.0 Hub Launched – Worlds First

We have been noticing occasionally that devices that launch with USB ports, ie, laptops, netbooks, motherboards etc… have started getting USB 3.0 ports included. Buffalo are now about to launch the worlds first 4 port USB 3.0 hub.

The device is called the BSH4A03U3 and comes in either black or white. Compatibility show it can work with several OS variations that includes Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista as well as Mac OS X 10.4.

PicoDrive Dual X gives 64GB of Fast USB Storage

The two larger capacities (32GB and 64GB) have impressive 32MB/s read speeds along with 17MB/s write speeds making them fairly quick where transfer is concerned. The lower three capacities of the PicoDrive Dual X however are a little slower.

Each of the USB flash drives support Windows 7 along with ReadyBoost to give your laptop extra memory to work with if needed.
