Have a look at the video below to see Gary Numan play the 1979 hit “Cars” on a couple of dozen real cars. The setup is quite bizarre where 24 cars are attached to a single car battery as well as a double keyboard. When a key is pushed the corresponding car horn sounds to make the Cars tune. [Read more…]

iPhone 4 gets Augmented Reality Football App
Augmented reality has been showing up more often this year. The idea behind it is that the camera on your iPhone or any other phone streams live video from the camera to the screen and the software augments the footage to include information to the user. The system can be used for satnav, driving safety and for fixing car engines to name a few things.
The latest version we have come across is called ARFootball. The ARFootball application is a game that you can play where you hold the phone down towards your feet and kick up a virtual football.
The game is simple in it’s idea and lets you juggle the ball between both feet. The application has different levels of difficulty along with two versions which include a free play mode and an arcade mode. [Read more…]
BMW Support iPod Out on iOS 4
When Apple [AAPL] announced iOS 4 they said a large number of enhancements had been included. These of course include multitasking as well as many other popular features that have been publicly known. Another one of the new features is called iPod Out which appears to have been overlooked somewhat. Thankfully, BMW has an all seeing eye and spotted the new feature allowing them to create quite a decent interface for their cars.
iPod Out is a function that enables an external screen to display and control music playback. Docking an iPhone running iOS 4 for example, could allow a car to have a screen installed and all the iPod controls appear on screen within the car.
BMW will be doing this with their BMW and Mini entertainment systems. The iPod Out function works on any iOS 4 device which includes the iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and iPod touch second and third generation. [Read more…]

iPhone 4 Jailbreak Wont Come From Geohot as He Retires from the Scene
Over the weekend Geohot (George Hotz) write a post titled just “Meh” showing an iPhone 4 jailbreak, ie the iPhone 4 running Cydia. We now see that Geohot has closed his blog off and made it a members only place requiring that those who want access get invited.
George updated the latest post on his blog with the following statement last night…
Sorry, this post was probably a bad idea. Next time I won’t say anything. I miss when this blog was actually about technical things(I’ve been reacting too much to the feedback, which led it to the place it’s in now). I didn’t fully realize most of the current scene don’t care unless they are getting something. Now I do. It’s late tonight, I’ll think about what to do about this in the morning.
The real reason behind no release isn’t technical. It’s just that it will never stop, after blackra1n, people demand unlock, after blacksn0w, people demand untethered. I miss the days when jailbreaking and unlocking were difficult, it attracted a much higher caliber crowd. Also, to the haters, the picture is quite obviously fake.

If you own an iPad it is possible to play SNES games on the device. Lifehacker has created a four-step tutorial that shows you exactly how to get playing SNES games on your iPad along with the steps to pair up a Bluetooth Wii Remote to play the games with. If you don’t have a wiimote and prefer to use an iPhone or iPod touch as a controller then an alternative SNES emulator is available.
The first app looked at in the video is called SNES4iPhone which costs $5.99 and requires you jailbreak the iPad. Jailbreaking an iPad is quite simple thanks to apps like SpiritJB that allow a simple app to run on your Mac or Windows PC and push a button while the iPad is connected.
The full tutorial which can be found here, goes through each of the steps which show you how to jailbreak the iPad, install the SNES for iPhone software and sync up your Wii remote control. Once done, the video then shows you how to add games to your iPad so you can play them. [Read more…]
