As can be seen already today, Motorola [MOT] is launching another device called the Motorola DROID Pro. The DROID Pro is described as being a “mobile office in your pocket” and has a number of features that allow you to keep connected to business whilst on the move.

It runs the Android 2.2 operating system, it has a QWERTY keyboard on the front of the device that allows for quick text entry when replying to text messages or emails and it has all the usual connectivity such as Wireless, Bluetooth as well as DNLA for pushing media wirelessly around your home. ASUS EeePad EP90 Tablet Launching Soon?

ASUS could be in the process of releasing a new tablet called the ASUS EeePad EP90.

The EP90 is reported as having a 1GHz dual-core Tegra processor. The screen is expected to be able to display 1024 x 600 pixels although the exact size of the screen isn’t known.

Memory wise, the tablet comes in two capacities of 16GB and 32GB . For connectivity it has Bluetooth 2.1, Wireless and has GPS for navigation and location based services. [Read more…]

Gorilla Glass Used on Samsung Galaxy Tab

Corning has announced that its Gorilla Glass is being used for the new Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The Galaxy Tab is a 7 inch screen tablet that runs Android 2.2. With Gorilla Glass on the front, it protects the device. The glass its self is four times stronger and more durable than regular glass used in screens and therefore, can take a bit of a beating without damage (although we don’t recommend you try that any time soon). Sony and TomTom Create New Navigation System

Sony and TomTom have created a new set of satnav systems that combine the expertise of each company to create an all-round “potentially” good navigation and audio system for cars.

The new models are the XNV-770BT and the XNV-660BT. The 770BT model has a 7 inch screen a dnt eh 660BT has a 6.1 inch screen.

The AV side of the system is controlled by Sony and is capable of creating a virtual 5.1 setup. Each unit has a capacitive touchscreen. [Read more…]

Notion Ink Adam UI Details Arrive

The Notion Ink Adam is almost here. In a new blog post, the company behind the tablet show a few more details about the user interface and what can be expected from the UI.

The UI will be using various 3D effects and will be based around the OpenGL engine. It will use heavy acceleration to make it smooth.

Moleskine iPad and iPhone Cases Launched

A good number of iPad and iPhone cases are available. One of the ones we have been looking out for is the Moleskine iPad case. This particular case uses the regular Moleskine style covers and has rounded corners and a strong elastic band to hold it closed.

Verizon to Credit Customers for Incorrect Data Charges

Verizon [VZ] will be paying back up to $90 million to customers who were charged for using data when they didn’t have a data plan. Verizon has looked back over several years to find that some customers have been charged for something they haven’t used.

About 15 million customers will be notified about the mistake over the next two months and each of which will fall in the refund category of a $2 to $6 refund. [Read more…]

Sony Google TV Launches on October 12

Sony will be launching a Google TV this month. The model will be the Sony NSX-46GT1 and it has a launch date in the US of October 12. Late last week we had already seen the October 12 date announced although we didn’t have details of which TV it would be.

Along with Sony launching a Google TV, Logitech will also be holding an event this month on October 6 that will see the Logitech Revue Google TV companion box launched.

Sony calls its TV the Internet TV and looking at the specs we see it will run an Intel Atom processor. Size wise, we believe it will be a 46 inch screen and will provide the full Google TV experience to users who are based in the US. [Read more…]

Windows Phone 7 Launch Date – October 11

Windows Phone 7 will launch on October 11. Previously we heard that an event in London would be held. We also now hear that an event is being held in New York and that T-Mobile in NYC will be the star of the show, so to speak.

This information uncovers some interesting information such as T-Mobile introducing devices. Until now it was believed that AT&T would be the exclusive launch partner, but this seems to confirm that T-Mobile will be available too on or soon after launch.

Also it was believed that just a London event was being held, but now we see that the US will also see the handsets on the same day. Perhaps other countries will also roll out that day. [Read more…]

Literati Color e-Book Reader Approved by FCC

We first mentioned the Literati Colour eBook reader back in August of this year. We now hear that the FCC has approved the device and that it can now go on sale in the US.

The Literati is a 7 inch eBook reader that has a colour LCD display. When purchasing the device, you get 25 eBooks pre-installed to start you off reading. Access to another 125 books is available at any time. Of course, 150 eBooks isn’t the largest selection but good news is that these are the “free” copies. After that you get an option of purchasing from a library of over 2 million eBooks. [Read more…]

HTC Merge/Lexikon User Guide Show Bing Integration

Droid Life managed to get hold of a users manual for the HTC Merge/Lexikon smartphone device.

The userguide indicated that the new (name unconfirmed) smarphone will run Android 2.2 when it launches. It will have the latest Google Android OS installed (2.2 Froyo) and will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for text input, as seen in the image above.

Rather than using the regular Google integration of Android, this device will have a heavy integration of Bing. The phone is headed to Verizon [VZ] which explains why Bing is heavily integrated. [Read more…]
