Google Nexus S Now On Sale in UK

After a 2 day delay, the Google Nexus S is now available in the UK to buy. The Nexus S is currently available at the Carphone Warehouse where a couple of different price points are available. LG Optimus 2X To Arrive on T-Mobile in March

Last week, LG announced the new LG Optimus 2X along with details of where it will be launching. The 2X is first starting off in Korea and shortly after will be moving to Asia and Europe. However, there was no mention of the Optimus 2X coming to America.

We now hear that it will indeed be arriving in the US, although the information is from a leaked bit of information from someone who has it “on good authority”. [Read more…]

Amazon Kindle Sales Could Reach 8 Million in 2010

Amazon hasn’t provided sales figures in regards to the Amazon Kindle. However, estimations are hinting that the company could possibly sell a total of 8 million units by the end of this year.

A couple of months ago, estimations were hinting that around 4 million would be sold by the end of this year, so these new numbers seem to shed a bit of a different light on things. [Read more…]

DocuScan Document and Photo Scanner

The DocuScan is a document and photo scanner that allows you to quickly scan pictures and documents to your computer.

The scanner has a resolution of 300 DPI and also comes with an SD card slot allowing you to scan documents without connecting it up to a computer. On the top is a small 2.4 inch colour screen that lets you know what has been scanned and lets you manage the documents stored on the SD card. [Read more…]

Gran Turismo 5 Update Now Available

Since the launch of Gran Turismo 5 on the PlayStation 3, a couple of updates have arrived to fix the odd problem here and there. This new update is rather large though in that it’s a 600MB download and brings a number of new features to the game.

The 600Mb update brings more realism to the game and also adds the GT academy. Seasonal events are now part of the game as well as a new hot car dealer. [Read more…]

NEC Dual Screen Android Tablet to Arrive at CES 2011

NEC will be unveiling a new dual screen Android OS based tablet at CES 2011 that is being held in a couple of weeks time. The new dual screen tablet will be called “The Cloud Communicator” and will have two 7 inch screens attached together with a hinge in the middle.

Each of the 7 inch screens will be touchscreen. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth as well as 3G for connectivity. Although both screens are touchscreens, it isn’t known at the moment what type of touch technology they will use. Hopefully both will be capacitive and the provided stylus will be an active stylus to make it compatible with that technology. [Read more…]

Infinity Blade for iOS Update Now Ready for Download

As expected, the Infinity Blade update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is now ready for download. A number of new features have been added to the game such as more swords, shields, helmets as well as Armor. A new enemy can also be found in the game.

Infinity Blade launched within the last month and since then, has become one of the top selling games on the iPhone/iPad. [Read more…]

Apple TV Sales to Hit 1 Million This Week

Apple [AAPL] has announced sales figures for the second gen Apple TV. This week it is expected that sales will hit 1 million. The Apple TV went on sale in September of this year which means it hit the 1M mark in about 4 months.

When compared to the first generation Apple TV, the sales are much better. This is partly due to the newer model having a far better price point than the original. [Read more…]

Windows Phone 7 Sales Figures Announced

Microsoft [MSFT] has finally announced the Windows Phone 7 sales figures although they are not the exact numbers we are looking for. Instead of providing the number of units sold to end users, Microsoft has provided the number of sales to carriers and retailers.

The Windows Phone 7 sales numbers show 1.5 million devices being sold globally. This might sound like quite a lot, but one thing you have to remember here is that 60 carriers in 30 countries are now selling the device which dramatically reduces the amount per country and network. [Read more…]

PlayStation Phone to be Called Xperia Play

Sony Ericsson has filed for a trademark called XPERIA PLAY. This is now believed to be the new name for the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone that is believed to be launching around February/March of 2011.

The trademark was filed for in the EU, as well as a number of domain names such as Xperiaplay.com/net etc… We also hear that several other trademarks have been filed all following the Xperia naming convention which includes the Xperia Neo, Xperia Duo and Xperia Arc. [Read more…]

Fujitsu T580 Tablet PC Now Available

Fujitsu has launched the T580 Tablet PC recently. The tablet was previously marketed as a slate-beater device.

Features of the Fujitsu Tablet include a 10 inch screen that has a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. The display is backlit by LED and uses a dual-digitiser that works capacitive with your fingers or with an active pen that is provided. Up to four points of contact can be made with the tablet PC. Microsoft Genuine Advantage Shut Down for Office

Microsoft [MSFT] has shut down one of the tools used in the battle against piracy with its software. The tool shut down is the Office Genuine Advantage software that pops up from time to time when adding a new template or updating office components.

What the software did was pop up each time you ran some updates and at that point, checked to see if your license of the software was valid. If so, you could proceed. [Read more…]
