Netflix is already available on the iPhone and other iOS based devices as well as Windows and a number of consoles. We now hear that Netflix will continue to grow by being made available on Android based smartphones sometime in 2011.

From what we understand, Netflix will not arrive on all Android devices and will more than likely be limited by the OS version and hardware meaning that only newer handsets get it (in the beginning that is). [Read more…]

Now that it has finally launched (in Windows form), we now hear that extraordinary demand has put a six week waiting delay for those who order it today.

Apple [AAPL] announced along the way how many iPads had sold with that tablet device quickly reaching 1 million. However, HP could have made far less units and had problems for a real lack of units to sell. [Read more…]

Angry Birds Coming to the Big (TV) Screen

Pigs have taken your eggs. What better way of getting back at them by firing ‘angry’ birds from a massive slingshot directed straight at them. That’s pretty much it as far as the premise goes and that’s really all you need to know.

Since it’s launch on the iPhone back in December last year, Angry Birds has gone from strength to strength. With downloads literally in the millions, the fowl-flinger has seen huge success amongst it’s rivals and since then has more recently arrived on smartphones running Google’s Android operating system and is currently still doing rather well indeed. Samsung Galaxy Tab Gorilla Glass Tested

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is covered on the front with Gorilla Glass. Gorilla Glass is extra strong glass that can take more of a beating than regular glass. Although the glass was invented as early as the 60’s, it has really only been used in technology for about the last 2 years.

The videos below show a couple of demonstrations as to how tough Gorilla Glass actually is. The owner of the tablet uses a CO2 powered gas gun and manages to fire 3 metal pellets (bb’s) at the screen. There were no scratches left after the test (thankfully). The second test then shows a regular glass being shot and smashed to pieces on the first shot. [Read more…]

Run Android on your iPad with OpeniBoot

OpeniBoot is some software that allows you to run the Google Android OS on your iPad or iPhone 4, or what we should say is that it will eventually be the doorway to letting you install Android on iOS devices.

The software is still in early stages of development and not quite ready yet from what we understand. However, a video has been created (and embedded below) that shows OpeniBoot opening up an iPad for usage. What OpeniBoot is, is the open source version of the bootrom on iOS devices. When injected in to the iPad/iPhone/iPod touch, it allows unsigned code to be booted on to the device, ie, Android could be booted. [Read more…]
