T-Mobile Voice Plus Beta Launching – Brings Visual Voicemail to the G1

T-Mobile have launched a new Beta service for G1 owners called Voice Plus Beta. The Voice Plus software should be launching next week and will allow those who successfully get accepted in to the program to have a call and voicemail management interface on their Android G1 phone.

Features on Voice Plus beta include Call Divert that allows you to specify which numbers automatically get diverted to voice-mail without ringing the phone. Call Defer is a service that lets the calling person know that you are busy but will be available to talk at a later time providing details of when they should call back. Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 Portable Scanner

Fujitsu are launching their latest SnapScan portable scanner. The newest model is called the Fujitsu SnapScan S1300 and is capable of scanning up to 8 pages per minute (double-sided). This means that you have a full duplex high speed portable scanner that can be taken anywhere and is powered by USB.

With the scanner being USB powered it’s only a matter of quickly connecting it up to a PC or Mac which enables the power, and then launch the application, insert the paper and hit scan. ASUS EeeTop ET1610PT with Intel Atom D410 Announced

ASUS have added a new Nettop to their lineup by introducing the ASUS EeeTop ET1610PT. The new EeeTop comes with a new Intel Atom D410 Pine Trail CPU along with 1/2GB of RAM and 160GB of storage on hard drive.

Two versions of the EeeTop model are being made available with one indicating a touchscreen and the other a regular screen (as denoted by the T at the end of the model name).

The ASUS ET1610 has a 15.6 inch screen that can display a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. Graphics power is provided by an Intel GMA X3150 graphics chipset. [Read more…]

X2 Computing iTablet Revealed

X2 Computing are launching the iTablet. The iTablet comes in two flavours which include a 10.2 inch or 12.1 inch screen version. Each version has multitouch capabilities and runs either the Linux operating system or Windows 7.

Powering the iTablet is a 1.6GHz processor and for storage the device has 250GB. For connectivity there is wifi and Bluetooth built in and X2 also provide an optional 3G/GSM module for connecting over mobile networks. Kingston DataTraveler 5000 with 256-Bit AES Hardware Encryption

Kingston have launched the Kingston DataTraveler 5000 USB flash drive. Although it doesn’t come with the highest capacities we expect these days from flash drives, it does protect data by featuring 256-bit AES hardware encryption.

The 256-bit AES hardware encryption uses XTS mode which Kingston say is much stronger than the CPC and ECB modes available. By using XTS along with Elliptic Curve Cryptology encryption algorithms (ECC) the drives actually meet Suite B standards that are approved by the US government… ie, it’s a safe place to dump your files. Dell Adamo Admire now below $1000

Dell have launched the Adamo Admire that is priced below $1000 running at $999. What you get for $999 is a super slim great looking laptop that has a 720p HD screen measuring 13.4 inches. The processor isn’t the fastest at 1.4GHz although it is an Intel Core 2 Duo.

The Adamo Admire runs Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) and has a full sized keyboard. For memory it has 2GB of 800MHz DDR3 dual-channel memory and for storage, a 128GB solid state drive (SSD).

The full sized keyboard on the Adamo Admire is back-lit and has a metallic key cap design. A 1.3 megapixel webcam can be found integrated in the bezel as well as an integrated microphone. [Read more…]

Gateway LT2118u 10.1-Inch Intel Atom N450 Netbook – 10 Hour Batter

Gateway have launched a new Intel Atom N450 netbook on to the market called the Gateway LT2118u. The Gateway netbook has a 1.66GHz intel atom N450 processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory that runs at 667MHz and a 250GB SATA hard drive.

The screen on the Gateway netbook measures 10.1 inches and is in a WSVGA format and is backlit by LED. The screen can display 1024 x 600 pixels. An Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 runs the graphics on this netbook. For connectivity the netbook has 802.11b/g/n wireless. The battery is capable of providing over 10 hours of usage on a single charge. The OS running on it is Windows 7 Starter. [Read more…]

Acer Aspire One 532h Intel Atom N450 Netbook Now Available

Acer have launched their latest Intel Atom N450 processor netbook called the Acer Aspire One 532h. The new Aspire One runs a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, has 1GB of DDR2 memory and for storage it has a 160GB SATA hard drive.

For connectivity the Aspire One netbook connects at 802.11b/g although no bluetooth is mentioned in the specs. The screen measures 10.1 inches and runs at a WSVGA resolution. The screen is backlit by LED and graphics are powered by the Intel GMA 3150 graphics chip. [Read more…]

D-Link myPocket 3.5G Router

D-Link have created the myPocket HSDPA/HSUPA Router that allows connections to quad-band GSM/EDGE networks as well as WCDMA bands I, II and V. Having connectivity to these networks allows it to work both in the US as well as many parts of the world.

The myPocket Router utilises a SIM card to connect to networks and is powered by battery and charged by USB. Up to 16 users are able to connect up to the myPocket Router wirelessly although you can also use it for 1 user as a wired USB modem if needed. [Read more…]

Android 2.1 SDK Launched

Google [GOOG] have announced that the Android 2.1 SDK is now available for download. By launching the SDK it allows developers to take advantage of the new functionality found in the latest Android 2.1 OS found on the Google Nexus One.

Although not too much different from Android 2.0, it will allow developers to access new hooks such as the active wallpaper feature found on the Nexus One. Some of the new feature won’t be compatible with older Android phones, but as there are new devices preparing for launch it should be a good enough reason for developers to get working away.
