Motorola has created a video teaser called the “Tablet Evolution”. The ad is preparing for the unveiling of the Motorola Android 3.0 tablet and explains that it will be revealed at CES 2011.

LifeHacker has created a handy tutorial that allows you to store your iTunes library in the DropBox service. What this does is allow you to sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod to a number of computers without getting any syncing errors or conflicts.

Normally, your iPhone and other iOS devices can only sync to 1 computer running iTunes and when plugging your device in to another machine, files are missing as well as other complications such as when using an iPad, it asks if you want to start from scratch and erase all data from your iPad. Angry Birds HD for the iPad received an update today that brings a few new things to the game.

Apple Looking for Four New iOS Map Navigation Experts

Apple [AAPL] last week put up four new job descriptions. The job offerings are all identical and request people to join the iOS development team. Each candidate is to be an expert in navigation software.

A few hints in the text, found here, indicate that Apple is working on some kind of navigation product for iOS based devices as each candidate needs deep knowledge of computational geometry or graph theory as well as experience developing navigation software. [Read more…]

iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak to be Untethered by Christmas

MuscleNerd has announced on Twitter that the iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak will be untethered by Christmas. Currently, when jailbreaking the latest iOS, you need to tether your iPhone to a computer when you switch off the phone and want to restart it. By making it untethered, it solves that problem.

The Skyfire browser for iPhone became hugely popular, thanks to its ability to convert flash to HTML5 on the fly.

Word Lens Augmented Reality Translation App Launches

Quest Visual has launched a new app in to the Apple [AAPL] iTunes store called Word Lens. The Word Lens app allows you to use the camera on your iPhone and point it at Spanish words. When it detects Spanish words, it automatically switches them to English words (and vice-versa).

The system works in real-time and uses the live image from the camera to superimpose the translated text on to, as seen in the image below. [Read more…]

LG B Android Smartphone Spotted – Super Slim and Bright

Yesterday, we mentioned the details of the LG Optimus 2X. This will be just one of several phones launching by LG in the next year though.

Phandroid managed to get hold of some details of a smartphone code-named the LG B.

As can be seen in the screenshot below, the LG B (sat in the middle), has a very bright display. The phone on the left is the iPhone 4 and the one on the right is a Samsung Galaxy S. Each of those devices are known to have the best screens available at the moment. [Read more…]

Google Voice App Supports iPad and iPod touch

Those with an Apple iOS device such as the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, now have access to the Google Voice app. Prior to this launch, the Google Voice app was only available for the iPhone.

The app is compatible with the iPad and iPod but all features are not available such as the ability to make voice calls as described below…

While you can’t use your iPod or iPad as a phone, you can use it to initiate Google Voice calls with your phones. We call this feature Click2Call. Simply click any ‘Call’ button in the Google Voice app on your iPod or iPad and then select which of your phones you want to ring. Google Voice will call your phone and then connect your call.

Infinity Blade for the iPhone and IPad (and iPod touch) launched last week. We now hear that a new update is incoming as early as next week.
