Modu have created a tiny phone that has interchangeable cases that allows different features to be used. Examples of cases could include a music based case that would move the phone to show more music features, or the GPS case which would allow for navigation to be used. The Modu phone is also the lightest phone.
As of now, four casings are available. The phone it’s self is quite basic in that it has just a 1.3 inch OLED screen, Bluetooth, (no wi-fi) and it isn’t even 3G. [Read more…]
The Lunar Lander game kind of reminds me of them grabber games in the arcades where you need to pick up a teddy bear. This version has a lunar lander module attached to the arm which you need to carefully control till you land on a specified target. A number of old school instruments and dials let you know if your moving too fast and what speed etc…
The game is based around an ATMEL AVR microcontroller and uses an Arduino board to connect it to a USB port, via serial to a PC. [Read more…]
SPOT is a Satellite GPS messenger that alerts authorities of your exact location in times of emergency. It is 30% smaller then previous models from the company.
The device sends a signal to a GEOS International Emergency Response Centre every 5 minutes when you activate the system. When the signal is received at GEOS they in turn, work out where you are and alert the correct people to come and find you. [Read more…]
The Spy Kite is a kite that’s equipped with a digital camera allowing you to grab pictures of the ground from 80 feet in the air.
The camera is secured to the underside of the kite and can be pre programmed to capture images at 15, 30, 60 or 90 second intervals. [Read more…]
We’ve seen a bunch of fridge magnets recently including some other Mario Fridge Magnets. This new version comes in the form of a Mario Item Block that Mario head-buts to get powerups from in game.

NAVIGON are soon to be releasing their iPhone satellite navigation app. This app will also be subscription free which is always a bonus. NAVIGON includes maps of the USA and Canada (not Mexico) and comes in the form of a 1.29GB download.
Both landscape and portrait modes are available and the maps are shown in a 3D view. Multi-touch zoom by pinching the screen is also possible. [Read more…]
We recently received a USB Battery Charger to take a look at. This version is different to the USB Cell that we wrote about a few years back in that it’s a charging unit that you put batteries in rather then the batteries themselves housing a USB connector.
The USB charger only takes 1 type of battery that is a 1500mAh capacity 1.2V NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride). 2 of these batteries come supplied with the unit and when using the charger, both batteries must be inserted in the charging unit. [Read more…]
It seems like YouTube is venturing in to 3D and following the general trend for this year hoping that 3D will be here to stay. This past weekend they began experimenting with 3D videos. The engineer responsible for the tests was actually using his “20% time” that google gives to employees to experiment and try new things out.
Videos can be viewed in various ways by using various strings on the end of the URL. These include yt3d:enabled=true to enable the view mode, ytd3:aspect=3:4 to set the aspect ratio, yt3d:swap=true to switch over the left and right sources of the encoded video. [Read more…]
These cool looking eyes 
The cool eyes are called the Animated Ominous Eyes and are illuminated to provide a sinister gaze as visitors come to your house at night. The eyes also blink to add to the eerie effect.
The eyes adhere to a window with the built-in suction cups, set up in your yard with the included lawn stakes, or hang in bushes, and can be set to blink slowly or project a fixed, ominous stare. Using electroluminescent technology (the same backlighting used in automotive instrument panels), the pupils and eyelids project a bright red glow that is clearly visible day or night.
The ace little RC helicopter can be charged by the USB port on your PC or Laptop. It is made of a light weight metal and has a gyroscope system inside that helps with stability when flying.
