Amazon have a great deal on the Nextar SNAP5 slimline portable satnav starting today. The normal price is $429.95 and today they are selling it with a 56% discount knocking around $240 off the price bringing it down to just $189.99.
The Nextar SNAP5 has a 5 inch touchscreen display and is enclosed in a 0.7 inch thick casing making it quite a slim personal satnav unit. This probably ranks as one of the most weird and odd USB flash drives I have ever seen. It’s designed to look like chopped off finger. The creator describes them as Cool and Creepy.
Here we have another steampunk USB flash drive that was created by a Russian modder from Modnews.
RAmos have introduced a new PMP (portable media player) called the T11 RK. The T11 RK is a new and upgraded version from it’s predecessor in that it’s innards have been upgraded. The outer looks is very similar to the original T11.
The Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T is starting to show up around a few places. The Aspire 1810T measures from 22mm at it’s thinnest upto 30mm thick and has an 11.6″ screen that has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels as well as an LED backlight.
It appears that the Dell Mini 12 and Mini 9 have been discontinued. I am guessing the Mini 9 might have just been a tad too small while the Mini 12 was a tad too large for a netbook. Of course I might be completely wrong there.
Apple recently rejected the new Google Voice app in it’s app store which caused a bit of a stir in the industry. The FCC jumped in to this last week. All that aside, it has started to annoy developers that Apple have such a heavy hand on this matter. It appears that more and more developers are moving over to an underground app store for the iPhone called Cydia. This is the app store which is home to apps that Apple doesn’t approve.

When upgrading a hard drive on your PC you often leave files behind. I have several sat somewhere and just can’t be bothered opening up my PC to connect them up temporarily.
Hitachi have managed to create the worlds only 7200RPM 2TB hard drive. That’s quite an accomplishment. The key here is not only the massive amount of storage speed, but more so the speed that the drive spins. With it spinning 7200 times a minute it allows for faster read and write access than the other similar drives which only reach either 5400 or 5900 RPM.
