The Apple iPad only allows videos to play natively that have been processed through iTunes. If you copy other video formats to the iPad, they are not recognised.

This new app is called CineXPlayer and it allows you to play a number of formats on your iPad. To get it working you use iTunes File Sharing where you can easily drop files in to a folder to be copied on to the iPad. Once copied over, the videos (in most formats) can successfully play. Tawkon App Measures Radiation Increase when Death Grip Applied

Tawkon is an app that can be used to measure radiation on a cell phone. When gripping a mobile phone with a so called “death grip”, the amount of power needed by the call increases to keep the signal active. In turn, radiation levels rise.

A video has been posted by Tawkon that shows three popular smartphones being tested with a death grip see if they each suffer with death grip problems.

The death grip is normally associated with signal loss. This test shows the radiation increase which is caused because of the signal dropping. [Read more…]

Before we get too carried away here though, it’s important to remember that some companies offer white iPhone 4 conversion kits although there have still been a few official white iPhone 4’s spotted here and there. The guys at Yankodesign have posted a concept gadget called the E-Ink ruler. The e-ink ruler is a Tape Measure that uses e-ink on the tape rather than fixed drawn on measurements. Install iPhone Flash in 3 Easy Steps

We wrote about getting iPhone flash working earlier this morning. When we first came across Frash (the iPhone version of Flash), we came across a set of instructions with 8 steps to complete the installation process. The steps required you download the software, log in to you iPhone via SSH, enter a username and password along with port numbers as well as a bunch of other things.

Thankfully a more simple install process has already arrived thanks to a Cydia Repo. Rather than going through the whole process of SSH’ing in to your iPhone from a Mac, you can now simply do it in 3 or so steps. We say “or so” as jailbreaking is a requirement as well as tapping on the Cydia icon to load it up with the latter not really being a step as such.

Either way, jailbreak if you haven’t, open Cydia and add the following…

Add this source http://repo.benm.at Frash on iPhone 3
Go to search and type in Frash. Install it. Frash on iPhone
