Windows 8 Can Boot from a USB Flash Drive

When the Windows 8 developer preview launched last week it was well respected by bloggers who think Microsoft is doing a great job with the new operating system. After testing the operating system over the past week or so, some users have found that you can boot a laptop in to Windows 8 from a USB flash drive. We had heard it was installable from a flash drive earlier this week but now have a demo of it booting from a flash drive.

Earlier this year some details of a new Foxconn factory to be created in Brazil were announced. Some expected this wouldn’t happen although we now hear that the factory will begin shipping the iPad by the end of this year.

Multitasking on the iPad Concept Video Released

We often come across iPad and iPhone concept ideas. Normally they relate to something that is unreleased such as the hardware or some software feature that isn’t available. Today, the concept we came across was for a spruced up version of multitasking on the Apple iPad. The regular multitasking on the iPad happens when you double tap the home button and a bar scrolls up from the bottom of the screen to reveal which apps are still in use. Amazon Kindle Cloud Reader Launches for iPad, PC and Mac

Apple recently changed the terms of iOS which basically put in restrictions on purchasing products within an iOS app. After companies felt the terms were a bit harsh, Apple toned down the rules a bit. But the general problem is that apps like the Kindle App for iPad/iPhone couldn’t link direct to the Amazon store for book purchases. This means that users need to manually open up Safari, buy a book and then go back to the Kindle app to download and read it. Although the solution is still completely mobile, it just adds in awkward steps that didn’t go down well with some Kindle users.
