Check out the Compass iPad Stand. The new stand is a little different to other stands in that it folds up relatively small so it can be easily carried around. It is made of heavy gauge steel that makes it strong.
The Compass iPad Stand can hold the iPad in portrait or landscape mode and also is capable of laying more flat on a table should you want to type on your iPad at a more comfortable position.
The iPad stand costs $39.99 which isn’t too bad although perhaps a tad too expensive for some people.
There’s already an app available for the Apple iPad that lets you use the iPad as a second monitor wirelessly for a Mac. The version for the Mac is called
ASUS is launching the ASUS UL20FT Laptop in the next few weeks. The new laptop is available for pre-order now and will be launched in August which is just a few weeks away.
Back in April 1999, Wired predicted that Apple [AAPL] would release an Apple iPad wireless handheld device. Although it was another 11 years before it launched, it’s still interesting to see that the name iPad was used and predicted as a device all them years ago.
As well as pushing out the iOS 4.0.1 update to iPhone users yesterday, Apple [AAPL] also pushed out an update to iPad owners which fixes a few things and makes a few changes to the iPad. The update is minor but does promise to improve Wi-Fi connectivity for those who struggle with wireless issues.
FaceTime is currently only available on the iPhone 4 and only can be used when calling another iPhone 4 device.
Apple [AAPL] could be updating the MacBook Air this year. We are hearing that Apple could be shrinking down the 13.3 inch screen down to 11.6 inches putting it closer to netbook territory. We also hear that a new low-voltage Core processor could be added along with a new GPU.

Lifehacker has created a four-step tutorial that shows you exactly how to get playing SNES games on your iPad along with the steps to pair up a Bluetooth Wii Remote to play the games with. If you don’t have a wiimote and prefer to use an iPhone or iPod touch as a controller then an alternative SNES emulator is available.
Barnes & Noble has updated it’s iPad app to now include brightness controls. It’s not the most exciting of updates to hit an iPad app, but it’s certainly a handy feature to be able quickly lower the screen brightness within the app rather than closing it out and going to the Settings menu to make the change.
