Although there’s no official Flickr App for the iPad, the company has decided to make a more friendly browser version for those using the said tablet.
The new version of the website has now improved the photo light box for those specifically using Safari on the iPad. When loading up a picture, the light box appears and provides full screen browsing of photos. To get it to work, you load up Flickr, tap on any photo and at that point, it opens up to full screen (where available), and lets you flick left and right between the remaining pictures in a set. Rovio updated Angry Birds HD for the iPad last night and along with that, a number of new levels, 15 to be precise, were added. The updates normally go down very well, but this time around, version 1.5.3 was hit with some criticism due to Rovio putting ads in the paid version of the game.
Apple rolled out iOS 4.3 recently and with that came the ability to use the iPhone 4 as a personal wireless hotspot for up to 3 users (generally a paid extra on your contract). What we didn’t know is that when connecting up to the wireless hotspot with a WiFi iPad 1 or 2, the GPS data is shared with the iPad and allows you to pinpoint where you are on a map.
Apple yet again saw success over the weekend with iPad 2 sales and due to this, there are now some significant delays for those buying any of the models on line.
The iPad 2 went on sale yesterday in the US and as usual, iFixit was able to grab one and take it apart to see what the inside of it looks like. There are a number of notable differences in the internal design such as the way the glass is held on and how the insides are organized.

In preparation for tomorrows launch of the iPad 2, Apple [AAPL] has posted 14 guided tour videos for potential buyers to have a look at. Subjects include a FaceTime demo, Mail, Safari, iBooks, Videos, Photos, Find my iPad, iPod, iTunes, App Store, Maps, Air Play, GarageBand and iMovie.
Apple [AAPL] has finally released details about the launch of the iPad 2 including times and where you’ll be able to pick one up tomorrow.
If you didn’t realise a new iPad was coming out and went ahead and purchased a first gen iPad in the last few days, you will soon be eligible for a refund of $100, £100 or 100 depending on what region you purchased it in.
The BBC will be launching iPlayer internationally for the iPad in the coming months. Due to the content being used abroad, a charge will be made to use the service. It has been announced that the price per month will be less than $10.
