Just over half of all mobile devices browsing the web were created by Apple. Numbers are showing that at the end of 2011, Apple had a 52.1 percent share of mobile browser traffic.

Windows Phone users have another option for voice control today thanks to an app called Ask Ziggy. The new app was created by Shai Leib and can be seen in some ways as being similar to Apple Siri and the Android equivalent. The app lets users use voice to ask the phone questions such as directions, flight status, stock prices, weather as well as calculations and questions.

Nokia has announced that it will be launching an update in January for the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone. The update will attempt to fix the battery bug that has been limiting the life of the device between charges.

Rather than just repeating set instructions such as "Sent text to fred", Majel will follow more closely with Siri and allow certain variations so that more natural language can be used.
Microsoft [MSFT] has launched SkyDrive for the iPhone. Prior to the release of the app, the way to access it was through the HTML5 site at skydrive.com in the browser. Now that it's an app, it makes the experience a little better.
Microsoft [MSFT] has launched an update for OneNote on iOS devices. Before the latest update (version 1.3) the app had been restricted for use on the iPhone and iPod touch. The new update now brings OneNote to the iPad although the app isn't universal which means you'll need to install the iPad version for the iPad, rather than the same version for both devices.
As planned, HP has announced the future of webOS and what the plans are for it. Meg Whitman announced that the underlying code of webOS is being made open-source which means it will reach a large amount of people who can in turn develop the platform as needed.
Initially there were two options that HP considered with the first being to sell the OS and the second to make it open-source. The latter was selected and is perhaps the best option.

Nokia has somewhat confirmed that they will be launching a Windows 8 Tablet next year as well as another Lumia smartphone that will have higher specs than the current Lumia 800.
