Windows Phone Mango 7.5 Launching in India

Microsoft has announced that it will be launching Windows Phone 7.5 Mango in India. The first device that will launch in India is the HTC Radar. The launch date is expected to be as early as next week. Other devices will follow in the coming months which includes the Samsung Onmia W as well as the Acer Allegro.

Microsoft [MSFT] will be shipping the OS installed with apps that have been designed for the Indian market. This includes newspapers from India as well as SnapDeal.

On to technical specs for a moment. The HTC Radar when launches will have a 3.8 inch WVGA SLCD screen. The processor powering it will run at 1GHz (a single-core chip). There will be 512MB RAM as well as a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front. Storage will be 8GB. The price for the Mango HTC Radar will be about $485 at todays exchange rate.

One device worth looking out for if you are over that way is the Acer Allegro. From what we understand it will be the first budget WP7 device that has launched. Prices are not known but when they class it as being inexpensive, expect it to do quite well. With that in mind though, we are unsure of the specs of this device at the moment. As soon as we hear more we’ll post an update.
