Apple [AAPL] approved a new app yesterday called iDOS. The app lets you run DOS on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. T-Mobile Tethering Launching November 3

T-Mobile in the US is about to launch an official tethering option for various smartphones on its network.

The service will open on November 3 although you’ll need to pay a monthly fee to use the service.

The details reveal that you need to have a 3G or HSPA+ device to use the service. You also need to purchase a second option of Unlimited Web at $19.95/month as well as pay another $14.99/month to use tethering and configure a wireless hotspot. [Read more…]

FroYo-Only YouTube App

Those of you privileged enough to own a smartphone currently running the latest Android OS 2.2 – FroYo will be delighted to know that YouTube now have a standalone app ready to download.

Microsoft [MSFT] could be releasing the next version of Windows in the next couple of years in 2012. The information comes from the bottom of a press release from the Netherlands that says (translated to English, by a computer of course)…

Spotify for webOS Devices Announced

Spotify has announced that the service is now available for those using webOS based smartphones, in particular the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi. The app its self is free although to use it you’ll need to subscribe to the premium subscription service that costs £9.99 per month and gives you access to plenty of music.

Just like the other version, the Palm webOS version of the software allows you to search, browse and play music from a selection of millions of tracks. Playlists are also syncronised to the device and can be downloaded which allows you to use them whilst off line. [Read more…]

New Nook Color Render Spotted

Barnes & Noble will be announcing something tomorrow (Tuesday 26th October). Rumors and a few tips are showing that the company could be announced a new Nook Color. Some leaked/rumored information says that this particular device will have a price tag of $249 and will be a touch screen device although the technology behind the screen is unknown at the moment… meaning will it be OLED, LCD or something else.

HTC Knight Could Land on Sprint

The HTC Knight is an Android based smartphone that could be landing soon on the Sprint [S] network in the US.

Not much is known about the Knight at the moment although the details that have been found indicated that it has a sliding screen. This indicates a full QWERTY keyboard can be found on the device. This information comes from some text found in an XML file which says the following…

ASUS Eee PC 1015PN with 1080p Announced

ASUS has announced the ASUS Eee 1015PN netbook. The new netbook has a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It uses NVIDIA ION graphics that can playback 1080p content.

The operating system used on this particular netbook is Windows 7 Starter. The processor running on the netbook is an Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM (DDR3) and for storage, a 250GB 5400RPM hard drive. The usual 500GB of online storage is also included. [Read more…]

Nook to Get Full Color Screen and Android?

Barnes & Noble will be making an announcement this coming Tuesday. What they are announcing isn’t known just yet, but rumors are now pointing towards a full colour Nook eBook reader that runs the Google Android operating system.

The new Color Nook will also have a touchscreen allowing users to interact more easily with the device. It isn’t clear if these are just hopes, or if B&N will actually announce this. [Read more…]

New MacBook Air Models Now Available

Apple [AAPL] has announced a couple of new MacBook Air models. The first is the regular sized 13.3 inch screen model.

This particular model measures 0.68 inches at the thickest point and 0.11 inches at the thinnest point. It weighs 2.9 pounds. Inside it has the option of either a 1.86GHz or 2.13GHz processor.

2GB of RAM is included inside that can be upgraded up to 4GB if needed. For storage there are two options of either a 128GB flash or 256GB flash. No HDD options are available on these models. [Read more…]

Samsung Galaxy Tab Release Date – November 11 on Verizon

Verizon [VZ] has announced today that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be landing on its network on November 11. The price will be $600.

No dataplan will be required when you purchase it although if you want a dataplan you can opt to pay $20/month for 1GB of data. The dataplan is a month to month plan that allows you to cancel it at any time in 30 day increments. [Read more…]
