Well it’s been a day since Microsoft’s new hands-free, motion sensing camera – Kinect, arrived in the UK.
With such titles as Kinectimals and Dance Central, we gain a small glimpse at what Kinect is capable of. But this comes with mixed reviews. Many users have complained about the spacial requirements deemed necessary by the hi-tech camera where others have found difficulties in the camera’s ability to recognise faces. Those gamers only concerned with their PS3 but relishing the idea of having a go on Mass Effect can now relax and won’t need to feel envious much longer. The original Mass Effect is still out of reach as this will remain exclusive to the Xbox 360 but Mass Effect 2 on the other hand is definitely making it’s way to the PlayStation 3 console.
For a long time now, Xbox gamers have long been wishing that they would no longer have to pay anything for Xbox LIVE subscription services. PC and PS3 gamers alike have gloated at the fact they don’t have to pay for online services. Now though, along with the dashboard’s new look, Xbox LIVE will now cost gamers a little more cash to play around with Microsoft’s additional services.

To add even more bumpf to the rumour mill, it seems that (allegedly) Sony’s PSP2 will not be launched housing a UMD drive.
October 26th 2000 was the day that Sony’s PlayStation 2 hit the shelves in stores all over North America. It reached record sales of over 146 million units since then.
With around $500 million being spent on their marketing campaign alone, you’d think Microsoft would let you see a little more of Kinect.
Announced today by Nintendo, as part of it’s 25th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. game, which was release on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), was the release of their limited edition red Wii bundle which will come with a copy of the New Super Mario Bros. game, a new red Wii Remote Plus controller as well as the standard Wii Sports with, you guessed it, a red Nunchuk controller too.
While playing Fallout 3 whilst trying to bide my time until my very own copy of Fallout: New Vegas arrives through my letterbox, i was reminded of the some of the little ‘quirks’ I came across throughout the Washington wasteland.Bugs and glitches, though minor, are dotted throughout the game with the occasional NPC walking ‘through’ tables, watching someone talk without moving their lips, other characters moving along the ground though still in a seated position and one or two points when the game completely freezes and I have to resort to a previous game-save.

Well it seems Microsoft’s Kinect will be launching with plenty to offer it’s gamers come release day, touted as a huge step forward as far as it’s tech is concerned and with kinect’s sole marketing ploy being controller-free gaming, should do reasonably well.
When Call of Duty was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, Ps3 owners had to wait for DLC. When GTA was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, PS3 owners had to wait for DLC. Now it seems that the PS3 has once again been given the cold shoulder.
