Sony Cybershot DSC-H5

The Sony Cybershot DSC-H5 is new to the market and has been reviewed by Digital Photography Review. It features a nice 12x optical zoom, quality images, and nice battery life from the AA batteries it requires. It has a 3″ LCD and is 7 megapixels. The H2 (previous model) is $100 cheaper and has a 2″ screen with 6 mega pixels although the image stabilization is far better.

Samsung’s NV Line

The Samsung NV line of cameras have arrived. They are more fashionable then the average camera and look different to the modern looking cameras we are used to seeing these days. They are Black aluminium with 2.5″ LCD screens. The real show winner is the NV7 which has 7x optical zoom and measures just 0.8 inches thick. They have some nice touch pad buttons down the side of the display and also ASR (advanced shake reduction). The NV7 is the only optical one which will work with that though. Full details can be found on the next page.

Samsung SyncMaster CX913P 19″ LCD

The new Samsung SyncMaster LCD’s look nice! The specs also look nice too 🙂 This particular model (CX913P) has a built in USB hub so that a keyboard and mouse can be connected directly to the panel and also has a 6ms response time which is not too shabby either.

Samsung P300

The P300 is the latest in the line up of mobile phones from Samsung. My first impression was that this looks like a calculator. It is a phone though 😉 and I am sure it does have a calculator on it too.

The P300 is the size of a credit card and not much thicker either. It’s dims are 8.6 x 5.4 x 0.9cm. It’s screen is a 1.8″ LCD which is very good on the eyes.

Important stats include Bluetooth, tri-band (900/1,800/1,900 MHz) GSM/GPRS network connectivity and a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and 4x digital zoom. If that wasn’t enough the phone manages to pack in an MP3 player supporting MP3, AAC, AAC+ and e-AAC formats, a video recorder with playback and video messaging capabilities, and 80MB of memory.

The QDA Lite is powered by an Intel PXA270 520MHz processor and comes with 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, tri-band GSM/GPRS support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, USB Host, a 2.0-megapixel camera, an SDIO/SD/MMC slot, a 2.8″ QVGA (240 x 320) TFT-LCD, 1240mAh battery, and Windows Mobile 5.0. The QDA Icon has less detailed specs, but it is confirmed to carry GSM/GPRS/Bluetooth/WiFi connectivity, a 4 megapixel camera, and a 2.4″ QVGA (240 x 320) TFT LCD.

Bell + Howell 10 Megapixel Camera

Bell + Howell have created a 10 megapixel digital camera which is to be launched soon at $219. It has some cut down features and is classed as a camera for extremely casual beginners in the digital camera scene. It measures just 0.875″ in thickness, has 8x digital zoom, 16Mb built in memory and a much needed SD card slot. Also it can make videos and has a 1.5″ colour LCD screen. It doesnt look too great in my opinion and for being 10 megapixel I would have expected more built in memory as well as a better screen as well as optical zoom 🙂 Not much more I want other then that.
