There’s been a lot of talk about Amazon getting in to the Tablet game over the last few months. Sony Tablet S Up for Pre-Order in the UK

The Sony Tablet S is now available for pre-order here in the UK. It is set to launch on September 16th with a price tag starting at £399 for the lower spec model. The device actually went up for pre-order at 4:01pm a couple of days ago, so if you want one pre-ordering now then act quick.

The pre-order availability is an exclusive to the Dixons Group which means you’ll be able to pre-order from Currys, PC World or Dixons.co.uk ready for the launch on September 16.

Toshiba AT200 Excite will Measure 7.7mm Thick

Toshiba will soon launch a new tablet called the AT200. This new model is the next generation version of the original AT100. The new Toshiba tablet will have a 10.1 inch screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It will run the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system and be powered by a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor.

Final Cut Studio Goes Back on Sale at Apple

Apple has put the older version of Final Cut Studio back on sale due to what is believed to be a mixed reception to the new and redesigned version called Final Cut X. The older legacy version isn’t available through the App Store or online. Instead, you’ll need to call 800-MY-APPLE to get this version.

Foxconn to Make 20 Million iPad 2s In Third Quarter

Digitimes is reporting that Foxconn will be shipping about 20 million Apple iPad 2 models to Apple in the 3rd quarter of this year. This amount is more than double what it was for the previous quarter which was estimated at 9.25 million.

LG PenTouch Touch Screen Plasma Announced

LG has announced a new range of TVs called the LG PenTouch. This new range of Plasma screens lets users interact with it by using a special stylus. The idea behind it is that users can browse the internet or draw right on the screen if needed. As well as browsing the web, it also gives the ability to interact with what is on the screen.

Samsung Galaxy Note Announced

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note smartphone. The device is a little larger than an average smartphone in that it has a large 5.3 inch screen. One of the unique feature of the device is that it has been designed to use a stowaway pen so that notes can be taken (hence the Galaxy Note name).
