Total time to build the stop motion animation was about 36 hours as the colouring, cutting and capture took a number of hours away. The impressive video can be seen below. [Read more…]

Netbook Discounts Thanks to Launch of Intel Atom N450 Processor

With the launch of a number of new netbooks this last week thanks to the new Intel Atom N450 processor being launched, this has meant there are a number of discounts on older netbooks that run the previous Atom processors. Although the netbooks could be classed as being older, they aren’t that far behind the new N450 netbooks that we are now seeing. Netbooks such as the Samsung NC10 still is a respectable netbook. It has a 10.1 inch screen, 6 hour battery life, and a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor. [Read more…]

The whole system is built from Lego Technic including the small stand it sits on. No instructions have been provided so you’ll have to watch the video closely to see what is needed to build it yourself. See the video after the jump. [Read more…]

It was knitted by the Happy Seamstress who is currently putting a pattern together for those who want to download it. [Read more…]

I was hoping that rumours were coming to an end today after the crazy Apple 4G rumour we posted this morning, but unluckily I came across another about the Apple iSlate again. This time an unknown source has told TG Daily that Apple have purchased all available supplies of 10.1 inch LCD and OLED multi-touch displays for an upcoming device.

“We were designing a product for a customer and we needed 10 inch screens, but we’ve been trying for months and can’t get one from any of the Asian suppliers,” an anonymous designer for a firm wishing to remain nameless told TG Daily.

ASUS Eee 1005PE Gets Atom N450 and 14 Hour Battery Life

ASUS had a number of new netbooks on display at CES this year that included the ASUS Eee 1005PE model. What makes this model stand out is it’s impressive 14 hour battery life. The reason for the increase is down to the new Intel Atom N450 processor that the 1005PE uses that requires less power to run, thus allowing for longer usage between charges.

The ASUS 1005PE follows on from the excellent selling 1005HA model. It has a 10.1 inch LCD screen that can display 1024×600 pixels. The Intel Atom N450 processor runs at 1.66GHz and the netbook has 1GB of DDR2 memory installed that can be upgraded to 2GB if desired. [Read more…]
