Gigabyte are launching a new Booktop called the M1305 that comes with a desktop docking station to give the graphics a little extra kick.
The new Booktop has a 13.3 inch screen that can display a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and has an Intel CULV processor inside. The dock features an NVIDIA GeForce GT220 GPU with 1GB of DDR3 memory that allows the Booktop to get a boost when docked.
Inside you’ll find 4GB of memory as well as a storage capacity of up to 500GB depending on the option you choose. An optical drive can also be found in the unit. [click to continue…]

Acer have perhaps created a fantastic netbook here in the shape of the Acer Aspire AS1410 CULV. The AS1410 has a fair bit of power inside that includes a Celeron SU2300 1.2GHz processor that has 1MB of L2 Cache and an 800MHz front side bus. Also included in the Aspire AS1410 is 2GB of DDR2 memory that can be upgraded to 4GB.
The screen measures 11.6 inches and has a HD widescreen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The screen is lit by LED and Acer call it their CineCrystal. Due to the larger 11.6″ screen you can also expect a decent sized keyboard on this netbook. Acer say the keyboard is full size which is especially handy on small devices. [click to continue…]

Acer have announced the Acer Aspire 5738PG notebook that comes standard with a multi-touch screen and runs Windows 7. Launching on October 22 the Aspire 5738PG will cost $799.99 and come with a number of features.
The multi-touch features of the new notebook make it work great with Windows 7 and allows users a different way to zoom in and out of contact as well as working with handwritten notes, editing photos and resizing windows to name a few possibilities. [click to continue…]

Acer have announced the Acer Aspire Timeline AS1810TZ notebook that has an 11.6″ screen that runs at a HD resolution and is backlit by LED. The notepad has a full sized keyboard and up to 8 hours of life on a single charge.

Asus have revealed details of the EeeBox EB1501 nettop today. The new computer is the first in the EeeBox range that has an optical drive along with Windows 7 installed.
This new version is also based around the NVIDIA ION chipset and lets it work perfectly in your living room as an entertainment centre capable of pushing out 1080p.
Asus have made the EeeBox EB1501 very power efficient too allowing to it use 70% less power than a traditional desk top PC. [click to continue…]

Asus have launched a new netbook named the Asus Eee 1201N. It uses the NVIDIA Ion graphics chipset making a good improvement for graphics capabilities on the small netbook. The Eee 1201N also has 2GB of RAM built in and runs the usual Atom N270 1.6GHz processor that we commonly see in netbooks.
For storage the Asus netbook uses a 250GB SATA drive that spins at 5,400 RPM. As of now it is listed at a Chinese retailer site for the equivalent of $513. [click to continue…]

Full details of the Nokia Booklet have been provided over in Stuttgard in Germany at the official Nokia event. Cost wise, it will run at just over $800 pre-sub. We should see mobile phone networks offering a lower price with the unit subsidized due to the mobile data connection built in.
Details show that it will have a 16-cell battery capable of up to 12 hours of usage that will allow for a full days work on a single charge. The booklet measures 19.9mm in thickness and comes in three colours of black, white and blue. [click to continue…]

Portwell has created a mini fanless PC named the WEBS-1010. It uses less than seven watts of power and is 4.5 x 4 x 1.05 inches in size. Included on the PC is a miniSD socket, a 2.5 inch disk bay, HDMI video output, IR receiver and 6 USB ports.

If the USB to SATA Drive Dock was a bit too big for your liking then another option is the USB to SATA adapter which is far smaller and does pretty much the same job.
It has it’s own inbuilt power supply which provides power to the SATA drive and all you need to do is connect up the USB port to your computer and copy all the files off your drive. [click to continue…]
