Nokia E70 Review

The Nokia E70 is a Symbian based SmartPhone. Gadgets.fosfor.se managed to get their hands on one for just a couple of days which was only enough to do a mini review of the device.

The device boasts a nice looking screen which has a resolution of 352 x 416 pixels. This is double that of most Nokia phones. The phone has a folding keyboard which is a qwerty layout with the screen in the middle as one half of the keyboard sweeps over the top. The GUI is very easy to use, as all Nokia phones are. More details at the link below.

Nokia N80 Video Review

This is a bit late coming đŸ™‚ But still worth a post. The Nokia N80 (out now) has the added bonus of wifi built in (which the N70 does not). This is a great move for Nokia because no one likes the sucky charges that WAP, GPRS, 3G etc… impose on us… so a wifi connection is just great. What I like about the N80 is the browser shown below. It can shrink down and then you can move a box around which will zoom in to where you want to see on the web site. Helps immensly for sidewards scrolling which should be made illegal đŸ˜‰

Nokia N93

The Nokia N93 is a little too big to be used as a phone in the oppinion of some. It does have plenty of nice features though such as a 3.2 megapixel camera, 50Mb memory, wi-fi, U plug and play, and a nice 2.4″ screen. It is powerful! No doubt about that.

Nokia E60 Review

The Nokia E60 was recently reviewed on Fosfor.se and found to be an excellent phone. It has a nice fold out keyboard which opens up to make the screen sit in the middle of each side of thekeyboard and then folds back to look like a regular phone with the numerical keypad. The screen runs a nice crystal clear resolution and overall the phone has a nice feel to it. Check out the full review after the pictures below via the link.

Nokia E61 Smart Phone

I like Smart phones! They give a lot more features then the regular phone and are handy tools to carry around. The Nokia E61 has many tools bundled in to it’s case. Notifications of new emails via LED, editing emails on the go, sending emails on the go as well as talking on speaker phone at the same time… These are just a few of what this device is capable of.

iPhone prototypes from 2006 revealed

The picture above shows prototypes of the iPhone. They were made around 2006 (a year before the iPhone launched). The one on the right looks more Nokia esq while the one on the left looks similar to what the iPhone 4S looks like now.

We are not sure why Apple went for the original iPhone (3G/3GS) design if they already had an iPhone 4/4S design available but we assume that it was related to the technology advances at the time not quite allowing the 4 to be thin enough to look good and retain a decent battery life. Hence, they went with the original iPhone design with the slightly bulging back on it to squeeze a battery in.

iPhone 4S Location Gets GLONASS Support Alongside GPS

Looking over the specs page of the iPhone 4S you might have noticed that as well as supporting GPS, the new smartphone also has support for GLONASS. The project started as far back as 1976 and is essentially a different system to track you around the globe. At the moment GLONASS isn’t active although the last satellite was sent in to space very recently.
