Orange have announced that it will be shipping the ASUS Eee 1005HGO netbook along with an embedded SIM card for on the move broadband access. The netbook will come with the Windows 7 operating system installed.
The ASUS EEE 1005HGO weighs 1.27KG, has a 10.1 inch screen and will run the Windows 7 Starter operating system.
The netbook is available on both 18 and 24 month contracts with prices ranging from £29.36 (1GB plan) through £40 / month. Data included with the price plans varies from 1GB to 3GB and up to 5GB. Yesterday, Google [GOOG] introduced a new operating system called Google Chrome OS. We have heard a few things about it over the last few months, but now it has been officially displayed. The idea behind Chrome OS is that most users switch on their computer and want to go online to get email, check Facebook, browse websites, search for jobs, go shopping and perhaps play games while chatting to friends and listening to music etc… with other programs not getting as much use, if any at all. Perhaps the web browser is the most important and most used program on a computer in Google’s words.
We have mentioned the ASUS Eee 1201N a couple of times in the last few months. We now see that it is ready for pre-order.
More rumours are here today about the Apple [AAPL] tablet that was rumoured to be launched early next year. Reports are now saying that the tablet will move back to the 2nd half of 2010.

Sprint have announced that they are offering an EVDO enabled netbook in the form of the Dell Inspiron Mini 10. The netbook costs $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and will set you back $59.99 on a 24 month contract that will provide 5GB of data per month.
Viewsonic are launching an updated version of it’s nettop PC. The new version is a step up from their older version, named the VOT131. The new VOT132 will feature a dual core Intel Atom processor and rather than running Windows XP Home, this version will run Windows 7 Home Premium.
It probably won’t be a surprise for you, but Amazon.de have listed a new netbook tablet with a launch date of October 22… ie, Windows 7 launch day. The netbook tablet launching is the Asus Eee T91MT that’s a multi-touch tablet netbook that has an 8.9 inch screen along with a 160GB HDD.
AT&T [T] have announced that they will be launching the Dell Vostro 1520 laptop enabled with 3G wireless connectivity built in.
