LG Quantum Windows Phone 7 Announced

Today at the Windows Phone 7 launch event, AT&T [T] announced three new Windows Phone 7 devices. The first of these is the LG Quantum. The Quantum will be the first Windows Phone 7 to launch in the US on the AT&T network. The launch date is November 8 and it will come with a price tag of $199.99. Outside of the US, the LG Quantum will be called the Optimus 7Q.

The device its self has a slide out QWERTY keyboard. It has a 5 megapixel on the back. The new Windows Phone 7 device has DLNA integrated allowing content to be streamed over networks if needed. The screen on the Quantum measures 3.5 inches and is in a WVGA format. For storage it has 16GB and it runs the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon core. [Read more…]

HTC HD7 Launch Date – 21 October on O2

Another early outing has happened for O2 in the UK. This time its the HTC HD7 that was outed early (planned?). The HTC HD7 release date for those wanting it on the O2 network is October 21.

The device its self will run Windows Phone 7 and will be amongst the first of a number of phones being launched with the new operating system (that is being officially launched as we write this).

The HD7 has a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen along with all the regulars found in a phone of this caliber such as Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth and the rest. [Read more…]

Samsung Galaxy Tab on T-Mobile US Price $399 After Rebate

We know a lot of things about the Samsung Galaxy Tab now. However, pricing is still a little unknown in some areas. We hear reports today that the Galaxy Tab on T-Mobile in the US will have a price tag of $399 after a $50 mail in rebate. This looks to be a subsidized price as the full price is listed as $649.99 as seen in the image below.

Specs are also confirmed (again) on the image below and confirm that it has a 7.0 inch multitouch screen with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It will run the latest version of Google Android which is 2.2. It will have a rear facing 5 megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel on the front of the device. [Read more…]

T-Mobile HTC HD7 Renders Leaked

Windows Phone 7 is getting launched today. At the event we expect to see details about new smartphones being made available as well as launch dates, pricing and details about what apps will be made available.

TMoNews managed to get some leaked shots of one of the devices we have seen a number of times. The device is the HTC HD7 that we first heard of a month or so ago. It is expected that the HTC HD7 will be a flagship device.

Verizon iPhone 4 Rumors Firing Up Again

Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple [AAPL] is about to start manufacturing a CDMA variant of the iPhone 4 ready for a launch on the Verizon network early in 2011.

Video Out Support Comes to iPhone 4 and iPod touch

The Netflix for iPhone and iPod touch app has received an update. The new update brings video out support for the devices. Right now it is compatible with the latest generations of each device, ie the iPhone 4 and fourth gen iPod touch.

Video can be output via the dock connector on the bottom of each device when you have the compatible cable.

The update is version 1.1.1 and is free to download. If you do not run a latest gen iOS device then the option will not be there to use. [Read more…]

Motorola CITRUS Andoird Smartphone Announced

The Motorola CITRUS is another Android based smartphone although this particular model runs the older Android 2.1 OS rather than the latest Froyo version.

The Motorola CITRUS has been designed to work on the Verizon [VZ] network and has a 3 inch screen with a QVGA resolution. Memory wise, it has 100MB of user space and a 2GB pre-installed microSD card. The 2GB card can be replaced with a card up to 32Gb in capacity.
