Motorola have announced a new Android based phone called the Motorola DEXT. This is the companies first Android based phone that features a slide out full QWERTY keyboard with a directional pad to the left of the keyboard. It has a touchscreen (capacitive we assume due to how Android works) and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For connectivity it has all the usual stuff bundled in such as Wi-Fi, 3G as well as GPS for guidance. Rather than using the standard Android from off the virtual shelf, the DEXT uses it’s own skin in a similar way to how HTC have the Sense UI. Motorola call their version Motoblur that mixes in the social network type stuff on to the main pages of the menu. From the home page you can see your friends updates on Facebook, emails from GMail, Yahoo, music from Last.FM and information from MySpace as well as Twitter. Sony have announced that the PSP-3000 system will be made available in a special Gran Turismo pack. Gran Turismo PSP is launching on October 1st after what seems like a several year delay. It’s actually great to see it being released. The special pack will be launched on the 20th October and will include the game on UMD as well as a silver PSP-3000, a downloadable voucher so you can get a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (for the game that is), 2GB memory Stick DUO and a movie/music pass allowing you to download 10 songs from the PlayStation network store.
