The LG LAN-9600R is an excellent peice of kit for your car. It looks similar to the Alpine motorised in dash screens, and has some great built in goodies. The screen is 7 inch and touch screen too. Built in is also a Bluetooth kit, 300Mhz processor, SiRF Star III GPS receiver, 2Gb storage with a USB connector to transfer music from your USB flash drive to the system. It also has an SD memory slot to also allow copying of giles. The DVD player built in will play most video formats.
The player costs around 2000 dollars and would make an excellent addition to those who are looking for this type of kit for their car.

The Microsoft Kinect has been used to create a Minority Report style computer interface. The hack was achieved by students at MIT who managed to use Kinect drivers for Linux and make a program that can detect all 10 fingers on your hands as well as the palms of your hands. 
The open source drivers for the Microsoft Kinect were opened up a few days ago. Along with this, some unique ways to use the Kinect have started to show up.
ViewSonic has released details of the US launch of the ViewPad 7 and 10 models. ViewSonic confirmed that the 7 inch model will launch in the forth quarter of this year with a price tag of $479 while the larger 10 inch model will arrive early next year with a price tag of $629.
